Gotta agree on the poll.

A free game is nice, but it only lives as long as there's player drive, which if isn't present kills the game as nothing gets done. A structured game is nice, but without enough wiggle room players feel like what they do ultimately doesn't mean anything. Balance between the two and so such. There's always exceptions however, and I'm covering this in rather broad strokes.

Hm. That was the one on the Gamecube, right? I think I did play that, but it was just me playing a 4P game so I don't have clear memories of it. :C

Yeah, it was the one where you and your buddies (or a moogle if playing alone) had to cart around this magic chalice type thing to keep the evil poison gas at bay. Had a nifty system where the world map would change from year to year. Looked freaking amazing as well, especially by Gamecube standards.

Yep. They made them dumb in the later games by giving them, like, bows or something, instead of Magic Missile Tennis Rackets, a category of weapon that could only be conceived with hedonistic amounts of bad marijuana.

I've played 3, 7, 8, 9, 10-2 and just a tiny bit of 12 and 13.
