<Additionally, the upgrade allows retrieval of information should the bracelet be removed, the semi-controlled use of compatible distortions, the remote deactivation of bracelets and the cloaking of magic signatures, when no magic has been recently used.>
Will should be able to intuit through what the knows of Cyrielle's approach to such matters and her former ability, that another function, though unmentioned was that until her recent power loss, Cyrielle would have been able to interfere with communications or remotely detonate the distortion components. In case she ever had to eliminate or neutralize a bracelet user. After all, she likely would have been rather cautious about how freely the units were distributed. She probably is also well aware that Will could intuit this and sees this as no significant issue, after all, it is hardly surprising that someone like her would prepare such a contingency measure.

<I know about those supposed counter measures. Tell me, why can only you use them? And since distotions are very good for killing then tell me why we should keep them in while Selina could just put them back into her picture and modify them to do that and allow everyone to do it as well? Is there some kind of ulterior motive to that?>

<Yes. Her ulterior motive is that Selina's ability has a limited amount of use. Easier to retrofit the bracelets than to remake every single one.>

<It would be just as easy with Selina changing them. And we wouldn't be at the mercy of a sociopath.>

<Selina's ability exhausts her when used on large scales, or with complex objects. Using it large-scale on complex objects? Yeah, it's easier to just have Cyrielle patch them. What, do you not trust her?>

<Not a lot of choice. After all, you obviously trust that Selina hasn't put such things into the bracelets. Exhibit A. You gave ICARUS the ability to think on her own, even though this would mean she would be capable of killing you without warning, especially if she got a virus. Exhibit B. You trust IRIS, Yuri's family, various world governments, the Layar, and pretty much all of our enemies not to send kill-squads to punish your various misdeeds, as shown by your complete lack of attempts to hide from them in even the most basic manners. You live in a frakking castle that was built practically overnight! Exhibit C. Your acions do not match up with your claims. Thank you for playing.>

((So, To move along with plot, I'm ending combat this turn.))

As Paladin Luthar attempts to move, his radio begins speaking, >"Target has been acquired. All Paladins, head to the rendezvous area. All other unit's return to HQ."<

Paladin Templar runs over to Paladin Luthar, picking him up and moving to an undamaged car door. As he does so, he grabs a key from Paladin Luthar's Necklace and places the key into the car door and opens it. "It's been fun, but orders are orders. Knight's Retreat to the designated area." After Templar is finished speaking he puts Luthar through the open door. Looking in the front window of the car, anyone could see that nothing has entered the car. After Luthar is through Templar steps in as well closing the door.

As it's summoner leaves the battle field, The Neferis Demon evaporates into spoke being unsummoned.

The two remaining Knights begin to flee, tossing Luna towards the group. As they are running, they pick up their dead squadmates.

Combat ends
((Yes that was a bit hamfisted. But to distract you all, I'll have Elf give you battle rewards and XP. Elf?))

ICARUS kicks one of the fleeing knights in the legs. Time for prisoners!

Luna chases after the knight who was restraining her. A gift for Marie.

Ghost tries to find some water to wash the acid saliva off her.

No. If this guy is just running on foot in clunky knight armor, while wounded, running from ICARUS, who can fly and X-ray vision through walls, actually managing to escape would be a feat well deserved.
