Cyrielle runs off with Luna still handcuffed to her and grabs a black-tie outfit. She gets Luna into an evening gown of her choice. She attaches a primrose boutonnière to the black-tie outfit.
She then runs back to the rendezvous location, carrying Will's outfit.
"Okay! We are ready, my fourth guest will be meeting us at Miss Ryan's household."

((sigh, I hate dealing with time paradox posts, but whatever, I'll bite. Game must go on, and there are some points in Stellas and Wills posts that *should* be adressed, which makes it a shame they were not in the posts in the actual timeline))

Code: [Select]
[Various remarks coming both from Stella and Will regarding a) Putting up warning signs and b) Trying to have laws implemented for Fingerling protection]
a)
"Signs...might be a worthwhile attempt. Mind you however, while it may decrease casualties, that is not a permanent, nor a particularly reliable solution. When have warning signs ever been? "Warning, dangerous cliff, do not climb"? My home is in a national park that, first and foremost, attracts climbers who seek a thrill. While it may drive off some, it will attract the particularly daring ones like honey. "Warning, contamination with radioactive material?" That would just raise more questions than it answers. It won't be long until that is discovered a lie, and the curiosity will only attract more people. "Private property"? China has begun militarisation attempts of the supernatural. Such signs will eventually attract foreign spies, and again, for those who come to the sandstone pillars for a thrill, that is not an obstacle."

b)
"You two keep talking about the law as if it was some form of magical barrier that guarantees that the prohibited act never happens again, but be serious, when has a law ever stopped anything from happening? Laws neither stop humans murdering other humans, nor fishing sharks to extinction, nor childr I dont even want to finish the sentence with the list of horrible things that laws prohobit and still happen on a daily basis. Law acts as a tool of vengeance, enacting punishment for the deed done, but prevents nothing. I do not care for revenge, I want safety. The drunkard rampaging through town did not magicaly un-happen when we brought him down. But had we thrown him off the cliff before he even reached the top, he would have been the only one to die.

The underlying problems is that, while there is certainly a large amount of very kind and very agreeable people, humanity has its fair share of those who vent their frustration on those that are weaker than them, the reasons for such actions are countless. They already pray on the weak that are already around, mixing our people in, that are even weaker, would only paint targets on their backs. That is why before any kind of co-existance can happen, the image of our people has to change, along the viewpoint of humanity. Only when they truely see us as equals can we live acceptable lives in this world. Just take a look. I turned to Stella (the other Stella) for help, and immediatly she suggests we should become pets and labour animals. And that wasn't even malice, she truely believed that to be an acceptable solution.

Thing is, we *need* a solution. An entire race can not live in just 3 small cities for the rest of all time. While it is protection, it is also a cage. Stella, you said you would champion our cause? Go ahead then, I am all ears. Tell me the solution that will put an end to the difference that was deeply rooted in human nature through thousands of generations. Humanity is on top of the foodchain. Everything they deem below them, they deem fit to do as in whatever way their mood swings.
How will *you* solve the problem? I am listening."

Cyrielle goes to the same one as Luna, seeing as her siblings were afraid of her. Plus having two people handcuffed together on desperate transport vessels probably wasn't the best idea.

-snip-
a. "Believe it or not, a vague claim of 'danger' is usually effective at keeping people from trespassing, and very effective at keeping people from accidentally stumbling on hidden enclaves. Especially if a fence or some other barrier is also involved."

b. "Laws do, however, make things much less likely to happen, and they also promise retribution and recompensation if your people are killed or their property damaged. Laws allow us to build great cities that work together; why wouldn't they work with yours?"

c. "You are assuming that these individuals will be able to get to you. Besides, I'd say that dogs and children, common targets of abuse, are much easier targets than well-armed often-magical lilliputians who kill anyone so much as setting foot in their land..."

d. "I'm right here. Working on a solution. Actually, three or four, I'm not sure which will work out best. First off, how practical would relocating to, say, Henderson Island or Necker be? Ignoring the difficulties of actually crossing thousands of miles of ocean, I mean."

TL:DR

Belladonna is stylish.

Joan snuggles Keith.

Marie plots and hugs chibis.

Asuna is creepy.

Stella facepalms at Will vs Hainuwele.

A) "Effective, but not certain. I told you, people often seek danger."

B) "Much less likely? The sheer amount of crime in the world indicates otherwise. No recompense in the world can replace a lost life."

C) "Don't measure my kind by my scale. What I can do alone takes the concerted effort of dozens of well trained specialist to do normaly. I am to them what you guys are to normal people. The vast majority would barely be able to stave the fear from their mind to even resist"

D) "We can't just keep switching one cage for another. We deserve to be able to sit down in a coffee shop in Paris if we so desire, without having to fear anything negative arising from the event. This is our world as much as yours. This is why I have come to human lands, as the paragon of my people, to become a hero of great fame and renown. If humanity comes to love us as valiant defenders against that was is wrong in the world, and moreso, sees that we are perfectly capable of doing so just as much as their very own elite, they will also come to respect our power. not fear it, but respect it. Once that time has come, our children may one day play along with your children. Because even if your children like to tear out the legs from insects, they will not tear out the legs from heroes of their night time stories."

a. "It would greatly cut down on the number of people entering, and frankly anyone ignoring those signs can count as natural selection. Black humor, don't take it seriously. It's an elementary measure that would eliminate almost all the big-folk-caused damage, why haven't you implemented it?"

b. "Notice that there is actually very little crime compared to the number of people. Rates of all kinds of crime are dropping constantly, or at least averaged out over the years. Moreover, the greatest proof is that most people get by without encountering crime in real life so much as once. Wouldn't that be far, far superior to having annual attacks by the 'giants' who accidentally stumble on your enclave."

c. "I'm sure. Anyways, the biggest aids in choosing to abuse children or pets over you will be distance and the fact that neither has so much as a chance in ending in incineration, or even needle-pricks."

d. "Alright, I'll see if I can find somewhere in France. Wait a sec, my bad. Distracted. Once we get you somewhere democratic, the whole integration process would be much easier...do any of your people speak French?"
