I decided to just remove Kyle all together from the game since he seems to only cause arguments.
He can do other things, too, if you do anything with him.

Seriously, I'd lock the thread but you people CLEARLY don't learn from it.

Capitalization is a good start.

((WHAT perks does Kyle get? If you've ever played, say, Pokemon, Persona abilities are more or less moves. He runs out of mana for that, fucked. He tries to do anything the move doesn't let him, tough luck.
The only problem I can see is the OP halved physical damage, which to be honest, is more of the RNG's fault. A targeted fear can miss, be rolled against or what have you.

First question: Why are you using the RNG? If I was in your position, I would just make up perks to fit the characters.
Second question: What RNG/table/etc are you using?
Third question: If Persona abilities are supposed to be moves, explain Kyle's first perk. Wait, that wasn't a question...
Fourth question: Why are you trying to shoehorn Persona abilities into this game? If I introduced a character from Greyhawk, would we need to hack together a Vancian magic system?
Fifth question: Are you aware that my complaints about Kyle's power level are more due to the fact that he has a lot of abilities than any single ability being OP on its own?
Sixth question: Are you aware that my complaints are more directed to kj complaining about Kyle being underpowered than being any kind of demand for rebalancing? (Although I'd definitely curtail the next powerful perk you roll for him...)

Please can I just ask you one thing, don't respond to elf. I get the feeling he's already thinking about shutting the game down and if you argue with him it might push him over that edge, so please don't I really enjoy this game and I want to see it keep going.

I've been there. Well, not there exactly, but close enough. Sorry to hear that.
Bit of a pain that that couldn't coincide with when I was absent, but eh.


Been playing Civ V as Harald Bluetooth Grimson, who is of course a ViKing. I invaded England, the only player ahead of me (or the one right behind me) with a couple berserkers, some archers, and a fleet of ships. After a dozen turns or so, and a couple captured cities (one annexed, Nottingham puppetted), I was digging in to try and deal with unhappiness (which I just discovered really sucks when you go below 10--this was the first game I ever went below 0), I received an excellent surrender: A good amount of gold and resources, plus a bunch of English cities!
One guess as to what happened next.
30 Unhappiness, a whole puppet nation, and nothing to control unhappiness with but coliseums.

So uh... Gold? Half your military will be going rogue soon, then your cities will begin going rogue as well unless you fix the unhappiness... It really sucked when that happened to me after taking out Mongolia.

First, I need to take over...um...something related to happiness.

So uh... Gold? Half your military will be going rogue soon, then your cities will begin going rogue as well unless you fix the unhappiness... It really sucked when that happened to me after taking out Mongolia.
My military can't go rogue if I disband them first!
Also, that's a feature I wasn't aware of. Possibly for the aforementioned my-happiness-has-never-sucked-that-much reason.

I would suggest having 1 fortified in each city as they lower unhappiness by 2... Or atleast 1. But yes, your cities may start going rogue as well. Just gotta get those colloseums up.

Well, at least I only disbanded triremes. And a caravel. But then, I didn't have much of a land-army after their freaking Yorkish longbowmen killed my last archers...

They will improve it by 1 or 2 points per city. If you have the gold, allying with city states is a good start as well as they will provide bonus happiness for the resources in their borders.
