This was a review of a story I am currently writing, with the name of Character A in the name, clearly described as 'loveable' in the blurb. And then said story has them as a focal character.

problem is, nobody is interested in them precisely because you are not working with them. Pick out a character who is not actually preoccupied with their own personal dramas like now, like Lunette or Will, or one of the Elf characters, and get one of your monsters befriended by them, and thus, char development will flow
