You guys do remember that the paintings are really tough to harm and that Cyrielle had to use distortions to cause a small hole in the one right?

They aren't, Grandiose kept his elemental affinity to the element used against him. Hence why a non-elemental distortion attack perforated him. Also, "Cyrielle had to use distortions" isn't a very good measurement of power, it was mainly due to the consistent density of the portrait, likewise, a distortion would only cause a small hole to a piece of cardboard so if you go by that logic, cardboard would be very durable; distortions are incredibly powerful against entities with organs (or vital components) that trigger detonation but negligible against everything else.

On a good roll, the gauntlet could easily cripple or possibly kill a Sepherim depending on the level of entropy magic. Not even a critical roll on all stats for it would deal much damage to cardboard though. So as far as distortions are concerned: Speherim < Cardboard.

First of all, Neferis. As USEC said, she's more defending her friends than actively tryi ng to kill Asariel, so only metaknowledge would prompt that action. Had he been available ((or if this was a live game)) I would have just asked him, so I couldn't. I'll edit it to his stated action change tomorrow. Twi, I was referring to you not stating Hai's alt action in your summary. As for whether it worked, since I forgot, I'll just GM fiat a yes. -10 DEX. As for whether being trapped in a painting is a curse, I'd say yes, it counts as a curse, as it's a magically sourced debuff. Fire would not, it's fire. Chi disruption wouldn't, it's physical in nature.

Also, as lomg as reason is followed, noone will die.

That and it's shielded against every kind of supernatural event except Wall Street, Persona and superpowers. And even the latter has lessened ability in the house.

Elf has it right. also, the portrait is indestructible unless attacked by a person with the same or opposite affinity as the subject of the portrait. It has to be a intelligent decision to hurt or undo the portrait. that means that if nuriel fireballs the area, Selesnarna would be fine unless Nuriel also decided that the fireball would burn the portrait.
