Gonna say that Overwatch requires that you reserve enough Time Units to fire once and use a Reaction Point. Reserve more TU and RP to fire more than once, but you still only shoot at moving targets and shoot at each target once.
Can us assault rifle users flip the switch to full auto and only leave two TUs to shoot (at a penalty, of course.)

Oh, and can we have suppressive fire? That, say, negates overwatch and provides a penalty to hit next turn? That would be quite cool.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

@Full Auto - Sure. Also, I'm going to give Overwatch a -1 penalty on its' own, so Full Auto + Overwatch = -2.

@Suppressive Fire - Again, sure.

You may now use Suppressive Fire. Direct Hits no longer deal damage, Critical Hits become Direct Hits, and it cancels target Overwatch and gives a -1 to the target's ability to hit on the next turn, as long as they are in your Line of Sight. Assuming you get a hit.

Ooh, ideas for a later map. Or possibly a game run at the same time in another topic. A gamemode perfect for, say, a 1024x256 map [players get multiple units].

EDIT: List of gamemodes for a possible next game. Suggest more if you have ideas:

-Deathmatch
-Team Deathmatch
-Capture the Flag
-Assault
-All Out War
-Hunter
-[Specific Weapon] [Gamemode]
-Armageddon

Next game will also test vehicles.

Alright, I sent Lukeinator a PM and he hasn't responded.

That said, feel free to do his turn for him.

Also, could you guys vote on the next gamemode, so I can start working on the map now instead of when this particular game ends? Remember it will be testing vehicles.

Descriptions of Game Modes:

-Deathmatch: FFA Deathmatch. Likely Last Man Standing.
-Team Deathmatch: Again, likely last man standing.
-Capture the Flag: Respawns will probably occur.
-Assault: One team is in essentially a fortress. The other team has really big guns.
-Hunter: One player is extremely powerful, the others are not. Essentially a "One VS Everyone" gamemode
-Armageddon: Large maps, large explosions. Random events. FFA Deathmatch otherwise.
-All Out War: As Assault, except both teams get big guns and fortresses. Essentially Assault taken Up To Eleven. Respawns and each player controls a squad instead.

*For Assault/AoW, the bases will probably be semi-modular. I'll give you your options if you pick them. And by Big Guns, I mean "How does Blast 50 sound?"

Something tells me everyone will want AoW.

Also, if any of you want to throw together some "sprites" for this game, go ahead. Use 16x16 tiles. Also, if you want to design part of a map, go ahead. Using 16x16 tiles, use a 32x32 grid.

AoW has both sides on both offense and defense simultaneously. Assault only has one team as defense.

Lukeinator, I made some assumptions as to where you wanted to go, as "4 Up" would have taken you into an indestructible wall space. "2 Left 3 Up" would have done the same.

Adjusted movement was 3 Up 1 Left 3 Up. Give me a message ASAP if you want to adjust it.

Not final. Should probably buff the second one. A lot.

Should mention this now - for the big guns, it'll take multiple turns to fire. Specify where you are shooting on the first turn. Changing locations will start reducing effectiveness of the weapon.
