Oh dear, it seems that for some time, my programs are set to rhyme. I'll just pop below deck, just for sec. It's to do some repairs, if anyone cares."

Tiny goes inside, leaving the battle aside. And tries to get him himself repaired, for right now he's quite impared.

"Oh no, you're really quite injured aren't you?  But I'm not drowning and I don't owe you any money unless I remembered incorrectly.  Did you loan me any cash before?  You'll have to remind me~!  By the way, those gloves are so adorable!  Where did you buy them?  I want a pair too!" Wisteria says rather cheerfully, surprisingly unfazed by the fact she just fell off the side of a boat.

"There is a gentleman on the ship and I think he knows first aid.  It's hard to do first aid while in the ocean and I'm not prepared to deal with bullet wounds!  I only took basic first aid and CPR classes.  The Heimlich maneuver is so fun!  Hugging someone that's dying is really weird!  Let me try getting you back up!" she continues, and then with all her strength and explorer wit, she tries to use both to get Lurf up onto the merchant ship's deck.  There was no time to waste!

"No! Do not carry me to the ship! I need to remain here, for it is only in the ocean that I am momentarily safe, for I carry the heads of the ocean lords!"

Do not allow self to be carried on deck, the ocean is my home now! And that's not just the massive blood loss talking!

"But silly, you wanted me to help you get your injuries treated.  Injuries aren't treated with saltwater~!  You'll only get weak and drown yourself if you keep floating like this! I'm Wisteria Silver, female human explorer and rescuer!  I'll make sure you're okay!" Wisteria responds lightly, obviously not taking any note of Lurf's opposition.

Turn 6

Fire the eternal cannon at Gunbeard!
[3] - Well, that’s silly. Kyle doesn’t even know the words to summon the Eternal Cannon! He’s embarrassed to be making such a silly mistake!

[Luck: 6] However, he manages to find the seven cannonballs anyway and loads them into the cannon. All seven of them. That’s what you do with a cannon, right? He fires the cannon!

[Luck: 6] As luck would have it, the shots end up being powerful. So powerful, the cannon explodes! [Dodge: 3] Some of the shrapnel nicks Kyle, but he avoids the majority of it. The shots rain onto the battlefield!

[Aim (Requires 5+): 3 / 4 / 4 / 5 / 5 / 6 / 1 = CRITICAL HIT! x1] Three of cannonballs fire past the ship and land into the sea with giant splashes. Three more miraculously strike Gunbeard, one in the right leg, another into his left shoulder, and the third right to his gunbeard!

“I hope you brought your umbrellas, folks, because it’s raining cannonballs!” Mr. Man booms into the microphone. Unfortunately, the last cannonball strikes the bleachers, killing half a dozen fans. These fans had not, in fact, brought umbrellas.

“My beautiful gunbeard! You’ll pay for that!” He marks Kyle for his next opponent.

-1 HP

"I am deeply sorry for that sir, but punching me was a bit too extr-" Hank is about to scold Sir Nautingham, but then notices the pirate captain shooting innocent bystanders. This enrages Hank and brings forth a memory from his past. That captain is an evil man and he must be stopped.

Search for a gun.
[2] - Hank searches for a gun, but becomes too engrossed in the cannon attack to actually find one. If he were to miss this, how could he bring it up later when it was the least relevant?!?

Oh dear, it seems that for some time, my programs are set to rhyme. I'll just pop below deck, just for sec. It's to do some repairs, if anyone cares."

Tiny goes inside, leaving the battle aside. And tries to get him himself repaired, for right now he's quite impared.
[4] - With his Rhyme Logic Circuit on the fritz, he decides to stop acting like a ditz. He ducks below deck, to fix himself. He even manages to avoid that shelf! He finds a very sturdy table. Levels it; makes sure it’s stable. Cleans out his insides (It’s pretty gross.) Tells the dead merchant adios. Makes a patch to stop the dust, the water, and also the rust.

And then he switches off his Rhyme Circuit, because he really wants that to quistop. I said stop.

[Heal: 4] Looks like that patch and cleaning did a fairly good job. He’s fixed a fair amount of the damage!

+2 HP

Try to somehow heal my wounds, or at least not bleed so much.

Beseech Wisteria's help.
she continues, and then with all her strength and explorer wit, she tries to use both to get Lurf up onto the merchant ship's deck.  There was no time to waste!
Do not allow self to be carried on deck, the ocean is my home now! And that's not just the massive blood loss talking!
[4 / 4 ] - Lurf asks the young woman for help, and she acknowledges trying to drag him toward the ship. However, Lurf flails around, clearly not wanting to leave his shark brethren. Wisteria thinks for a second and then decides that it’s just another adventure!

[Heal: 2] She takes a deep breath and dives into the ocean, as she's not really able to do much CPR or even the Heimlich on this big fellow in the water. Of course, seeing as how Lurf has only a few scrapes on his legs, her attempts to patch them are pretty weak. She seems to have missed the more important wounds in Lurf’s shoulders and neck. But, she makes a makeshift bandage out of seaweed around a small cut. She's definitely a rescuer now!

[Heal: 3] Lurf, on the other hand, tries to fix his own shoulder and neck wounds. He thinks against putting too much pressure on the neck wound and focuses on the shoulder, slowing the bleeding.

Overall, the two manage to patch Lurf up rather well. Also, Wisteria touches the Shark Hands some more. Hehehe. A merchant throws a rope down to the two.

Lurf: +3 HP
Both: Rope - Can easily board the merchant's ship.

Gunbeard [6] - Gunbeard decides to first deal with the Announcer Man. He wasn’t a particular fan of his booing him, so he goes to attack!

“Looks like the Captain is after me now, folks! We’ll see if his strategy pays off!” [Aim: 4] Gunbeard lands a wicked punch to the Announcer Man’s shoulder. “Ouch, folks. I can tell you that this pirate certainly packs a punch!” The crowd laughs, only making Gunbeard angrier.

[Dodge: 4 / 5] Gunbeard dodges two microphones headed for him. The microphones crash into the side of the boat, causing a horrible shriek to emit from the speakers, [Dodge: 1] bringing Gunbeard to his knees.

Gunbeard groans, having taken a lot of damage, but gets back to his feet.

"Your help is very much appreciated, land-woman!"

Climb onto the merchant ship. If Gunbeard isn't looking, sneak up to him and grab him from behind and place him into a shark-headlock, gunbeard pointing away from me.

Attack with words, tell Captain Gunbeard how his beard was totally awesome, but useless and stange and... and... something. Point being, Insult him. Draw attention from the innocent people.

Pleased with herself, Wisteria smiled from ear-to-ear, her brightly glinting teeth not impenetrable from the seawater leaking into her mouth.  Spitting it out, she tries to climb up the side of the boat again.  Swimming was nice and all, but now she was awfully soaked and a bit chilly as well.

"I wonder what's going on up top?  Anyway, you're welcome~!  Rescuing is just as fun as exploring; maybe I can do it again some time.  When I get back upstairs I want to watch more of that fight!  Gunbeards are quite impressive and its a load of fun to watch one in action.  Who knew people could come up with such ingenious ideas?!  That nice gentleman is probably there too~!  Such a nice gentleman!"

Attack with words, tell Captain Gunbeard how his beard was totally awesome, but useless and stange and... and... something. Point being, Insult him. Draw attention from the innocent people.
[4 + 1 (wrestling) / 3] - Hank walks up to Captain Gunbeard and unleashes a barrage of words…

You know, if he could think of some. Oh wait, here’s a good one!

“Your beard is dumb.”

Captain Gunbeard decides that Hank is simply a momentary distraction and throws him. [Dodge: 4] Luckily, he lands on his makeshift mass grave. Phew!

This, however, provides the perfect opportunity for Lurf, who had climbed back up onto the ship, who leaps onto the pirate captains back and locks onto his neck! [Grab: 4 + 1 (wrestling)] The sharks’ teeth latch onto his neck.

“Well, isn’t this a shocking turn of events, folks! It appears the Shark Shifter--” (Cue a “I don’t think that’s his name.”) “--has reappeared! This is going to be a great fight, folks!”

Gunbeard struggles desperately to get Lurf off of him.

"Ah, critical damage repaired. Attempting to replicate process."

[4] - Tiny tries a few more repairs. Having learned the secret art of not shoving dead matter into his chest cavity, he he repairs a bit more.

[Heal: 4] He fixes a small amount more. Woo! [Luck: 5] And he suddenly realizes that his ARM_BLASTER module has been disabled. How careless! He enables that promptly.

+2 HP
Arm Blaster gained!

Kyle tries to help the people who fell over board.
[1 / 6] - Wisteria pushes off of Lurf and heads for the boat in another attempt to climb it, in spite of everyone, including Kyle, trying to remind her that there’s a rope, not hearing them in favor of her mental Exploration Song, a work she was currently still in the process of making.

Of course, being that she’s an Explorer rather than an Adventurer, climbing boats falls slightly out of her domain, a fact she’ll probably realize later while talking to them for long periods of time. [Restraint: 1] Of course, that time was now to a helping Kyle. As she’s gesturing, she thinks she sees him wink again, losing her hold and falling into the water. Curse his gentlemanly good looks!

Kyle dives after her! [Dodge: 4] [Swim: 2 + 1 (trap avoidance) / 6] Wisteria avoids him barely but gets caught in a current that he creates while flailing around, keeping both from reaching the surface! Suddenly, two glowing red eyes appear in front of the two, who let out gasps and let in a bunch of water into their lungs.

Both: -1 HP

Captain Gunbeard [5] - Gunbeard, after having lost his previous target to the ocean and dealing with this old annoyance, whistles. The pirate’s gunbeard melts, [Aim: 1] sliding off of Lurf’s Shark Hands and burning a hole in the deck in an odd shape.

“Offerings to the Sea God!”

A torrent of water rises from the ocean and splashes onto the deck, spiraling into a vaguely humanoid shape with glowing red eyes. Another such current appears in the water next to Kyle and Wisteria.

“Sea spirits,” mutters Sir Nautingham, still patching himself up instead of doing nothing.

Offer Captain Gunbeard as a suitable offering. After all, we are on sea spirit turf now, and it would be rather disrespectful not to pay our toll.

Wisteria's situation quickly grows inconvenient as she realizes that talking is not possible while one has water in their lungs.  Any attempts she made at conversation simply resulted in annoyed gargling and coughing, and that's no fun at all!  She couldn't even tell the nice gentleman "Thank you" for jumping into the ocean and trying to save her... well... like a gentleman~!

Noticing the shining crimson eyes locked onto her, Wisteria begins to feel a certain dread.  Not only was it creepy, it also seemed to be made out of water.  Perhaps it was angry at her and Kyle for drinking?  The odd current probably thought consuming its brethren was terribly rude.

Wisteria tries to cough out the water she took in and apologize for accidentally breathing it.  She also tries her best not to be pulled back underwater.
