Well, they are clearly hostile.

Grab one little dude and hurl it to the big one

I like that axe. Kill the big one, take his weapon, and use it on the small ones. And order your new army to keep the small ones busy. Possibly by eating them.

Command Glue, Blob, and R.J. to take out the two wounded humanoids. Sludge Jr. makes a polearm and guards your back. Slime and Pool guard your flank.
Throw the first small humanoid that you reach at the big one.
Lay in with your glaive.

Edit: Also, be wary of the shadow or pool that large one is standing on; especially if it follows them.

Imagine a cool peice of sky-blue and milk-white marble about 3cm by 2cm and by 0.5cm, containing a tiny 2mm malacolite crystal. Now imagine the miles of metamorphic rock it's embedded in that no pick or chisel will ever touch. Then, imagine that those miles will melt back into their mantle long before any telescope even refracts an image of their planet. The watchers will be so excited to have that image too.

Not a command, but something I noticed. That thing's axe is blue.... Not sure if relevant, but perhaps worth investigating after we deal with this situation.

The blue color either means "neutral/default" or the "plot intended" alignment, considering we and all the weapons we found started with it before joining anything.

You may have a point.... But this thing has a weapon, and this seems like a no-man's land. I say still worth investigating, even if it turns out to be nothing.

Do you remember how we investigated the previous items? You probably want to be more specific, since Spectros is not going come up with experiments for you.

Try to fight the ax-crazy thing, and have our minions aid us by attempting to throw the smaller ones into it. If they cannot throw them into the ax guy, then just have our troops kill them in a more conventional fashion.

Oh diplomacy, wherefore art thou? Would not a hug by any other name feel as snuggly?

Ah well. Collect the drops, attempt to recruit the surviving grey things.
