Don't you need more fighters for a tower or something?

At any rate, since I see military squads are going to be going into use very quickly (even just as a deterrent) I am now tentatively purchasing farmers in exchange for fighters. Scholars are of course still something I want to buy.

Problem is that farmers are as rare as heck. NO-ONE invested in them at all, aside from me. And I only get the one per turn.

Meanwhile in the kingdom of 50-75% per town.

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Well, I didn't because you know. Farm building. Although it is bit of a sticky situation considering we need to defend ourselves on the first turn. I did not forsee aggression for at least a few turns.

A one-time payment of sorts would go a long way in securing yourself from aggression, should it arise ;)

You really can both sig it.
But... That would break the laws of sigging! We can't have everyone running around with the same quotes. IT MAKES THEM UNFUNNY FASTER!

I am seriously questioning why I am surprised that the death worshipers are out to cause death from the get go.

I would seriously urge the other leaders to hold back on too many orders for now. It seems pretty clear that we are going to be in need of fighting squads very soon.

Of course, you have to wonder what purpose that has if I'm just trolling you, just to cripple everyone by making them train a large amount of troops? ;D

So here is a few questions I did not think would have to be asked so soon:

Are troop movements secret? Squads have a listed location, does that mean if they are found they can be attacked directly instead of as part of a offense or defense against civilians and towns?

Also, can people use other peoples improvements? Like if I was friends with a dude that had a tower could I build archers, assuming his permission? I guess mechanically this would rely on us having the ability to trade troops. So I could trade the tower guy a scholar and a craftsman in exchange for a archer?

1: Military Squads, no. The valley is flat so keeping a lookout is easy. I think troop concealment/misdirection/interception will be part of espionage or a Tier Two Research Project. Civilian squads can be secret if you want them to be, but until you get espionage and spies, you wouldn't be able to use OOC knowledge of your opponents civilian squads against them, because scouting is a game mechanic.

2: Yeah. You can indeed build each other units. If I said you couldn't build units at an allies building directly, you would just give the guy with a smithy a gift of a Fighter and a Craftsman, and they would make a Phalanx and give it back to you... In fact, I'll rule that's how it will be have to be done. The element of 'will he or will he not screw me and just take the experts' is too fun to pass up.

So then we can attack military squads directly?
