The most common identifying characteristic you identify is they all have at least two eyes, four limbs and a mouth. Apart from that though, it's a chaotic free for all. Some of the more interesting ones have one head but two bodies, or only one hand but four arms which somehow all exclusively connect to that one hand. That... that should not be possible.

Noting where the trail is so you can return to it later, you head towards the police station. All the lights are out and several windows have been smashed open, presumably by local hooligans as you cannot see any bullet casings inside. Though you keep your rifle ready at all times, there seems to be no one nearby. This neighbourhood seems to be completely deserted.

While there are no environmental indicators of what could've happened, you see a couple of security cameras in the corners, which may have caught something.
