What is funny to me, Ng, is that your entire adventure to date is based on a throw-away comment about your character.

Edit: I completely misunderstood the statement of "throw-away comment"

Still, getting stuck doesnt help...

Siggy Siggy Hole!

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

<adventuresphere>Quick, what's the situation?</adventuresphere>

let's see.
The Former is trying to produce useable foodgrade fungi.
The bug swarm is insane, and is trying to ram the Space Station in a mining drone, from a significant distance away.
The big multilimbed Cargomaster is dancing with a corpse.
The Tree with buglike parts is conversing with a shelled, long necked, geriatric fellow who has candy.
You, (the blob of evil) are currently in a containment tube, yelling and hissing at the guy who caught you.
The Ood has finally managed to turn off his electronic equipment, and is limbing to the door to greet whoever has knocked.
The riverdweller has gotten lost and is conversing with some purple gooey stuff.
And The newest member, who I have yet to put his description in the OP, has been stuck in a dishwasher for the last three rounds.

This is EXACTLY how I had hoped I would be able to describe this game, back when I started. Well done, so far, everyone.

Hey, do you guys want a full recap? I suppose I could attempt one.

Sure!
Also, this post will be used for typing up mating habits for my species, which will probably affect gameplay, so I'll have them here so you know.

The Nalkvar are by most accounts a friendly and welcoming race, being relatively nonhostile and allowing other species to coexist in their territories without incident. However, on several occasions starting a short time after widespread colonization of Nalkvar space, several young Nalkvar, at about 10-year intervals, were observed to engage in an intense warfare lasting a month or so before ceasing. The Free Bound under the control of these Nalkvar underwent significant physiological changes, gaining wings in some cases, claws, a startling swiftness, significantly more strength, and other, combat oriented abilities. After 3 incidents of colonists being seriously wounded due to sudden raids of Free Bound, a council of the 5 major races living in Nalkvar systems demanded an explanation. What they were granted was an explanation of Nalkvar mating habits, in sort, summarized below.

When a female Nalkvar enters what is known as 'heat' among some mammilian species, ie fertile and capable of being impregnated, she unconciously sends her Free Bound out with slightly altered physical characteristics such as lengthened limbs, more natural armor, increased strength and autonomy, and carrying a very distinct scent pheromone that smells like toasted chocolate mixed with butter, oddly enough. A scent of carbohydrate richness and healthiness. This usually lasts for about a month or so, then ceases for another 10 years. However, should a male Nalkvar be present in the area she is in (about a 10-mile radius), he responds in kind, his Free Bound changing to become far more deadly beasts than they ususally are. In addition, he begins to produce additional Free Bound depending on the number of females in the area. If there is more than 1 male in the area, their Free Bound clash in great battles, seeking to kill one another and get to the pods where they are gestated so that they can cut them up to disable them in order to forestall competition. Then the Free Bound of the male retrieve his seed (literally, it's a seed) and attempt to deliver it to the receptor that opens up on the central pod of the female in her fertile period. It's difficult to miss; the central pod of the female peels back around the center, exposing the receptacle for the seed. This receptacle emnates far more of the phermone than the other parts of her body, drawing the male FBs to it. However, they must get past her FBs, all of which are primed to kill any male FB that comes into their territory - as a test of the male's skill; if his FB manage to get past hers and implant the seed, he is worthy. These battles often last for up to three weeks before either all the male FBs are dead, in which case the male concedes, or until the seed of the male is implanted within the female, in which case growth of the resultant child begins.

Alright, since I gave a brief situation report, I'll hold off on the recap until the end of day one for everyone (more or less). That should be approaching soon, I think. Actually, start considering transitioning from whatever is going on to a "sleep period" mode of activity. Note the quotes - I know not all aliens are going to be on the same schedule, if they sleep at all. But, it'll give us a good transition point anyway.

Ah how fitting. My species mating habits are probably too horrible and hilarious for the forum to know details of without a particular biblical plague appearing :P

This stuff is gold. Their habits are plausible, given what we know in nature, yet are foreign, as fitting an alien species. BFEL, if it weren't for the issue of sensitive little ears (seriously, who lets preteens on a forum site like this unsupervised?) I might be tempted to hear your species' tale. Forum rules are kinda careful about those subjects though.

I delayed the round because Dansmithers asked about the adventure situation: I was expecting an action (that's not a criticism, Dan, just an assumption I made). I will post the round later tonight though (say, within four hours of now).

Crawl to the door. UGH. PEOPLE.
(5) You make your way to the door and prop yourself up against the frame. Opening the door, you are confronted by an angrily chittering brownish creature with long fur and large, flat teeth. You recognize your neighbor: Ms Calum. She seems rather agitated.

Find way to lunch, bringing all my companions with me.
(6) You locate a nearby eatery It seems quite crowded. (4 v 5+1) YOu fail to retain your grip on one of the curators, and nly manage to carry the corpse and one curator to the eatery, where you are unable to progress through the crowd. In addition, you recognize that the cuisine at this eatery is toxic to your kind, though only mildly. (6) You are approached by several Peace Officers in uniform. They begin pulling the various curators (who are still tugging on the corpse) away from you. One begins speaking to you. (1) Or perhaps it is merely singing to itself, you don't know, really.

Sneeze
(1) You attempt unsuccessfully to clear your nasal cavity. The force of your attempted sneeze causes you to stumble, and you cach yourself on the gooey strands. They do not support your weight. You fall in, and are generally covered in the stuff. You still have goo lodged in your nasal cavity - some dripping into your throat.

Ignore, unless something obviously dangerous is headed for me, such as an asteroid or a nuclear warhead. Continue with terrorism.
(3-2) You receive a message over the ship to ship radio, alerting you that you are headed diametrically opposite to where you are supposed to be. You receive a question as to your status and intentions, and a warning that the Firebug will disable your drone if necessary to prevent any ... incidents. (( the -2 is your "freedom to act unsupervised" penalty.))

Accept candy. Ask if awesome old guy needs any books.
Th FB takes the candy from your new friend, who is named EeOon (pronounced, roughly, Ee- Oon)). The FB fails to open the packet in which the candy is contained, and drops it on the floor. (4) You communicate your desire to assist EeOon in his literary endeavors, to which he responds: We all receive what we need. What comes is what is. Or perhaps I have merely forgotten what I was after. How curious. No matter - a tree bug talked to me today! And then he emits a slightly rapid, wheezing sound for a few seconds.

Make a note of the necessary replenishment, make sure measures are in place to enact it. Check what stocks we have available currently - a general look at all the strains and variations that we still have within easy reach.
((Dang it, you are making me work at this, you know.))
(3) You spend several hours collecting data and organizing it. It appears that you have thirty two separate varieties of nutritional lichen available, with some designated into subvarieties. Of these, all but two varieties are currently in cultivation within the Former grounds, and of those, twenty three are of sufficient stock that you can harvest from them for new strain development. Of these twenty three, seventeen are of standard terrarian stocks for soil bearing planets of varying gravities, temperatures, and atmospheric attributes, three are aquatic in focus - a notable challenge for a race born in fire - and one is for a highly toxic environment, in which the ground upon which the lichen is to grow is highly corrosive - this stock needs to be resistant to the particular corrosion and to reproduce quickly, grow rapidly ,and mature enough to harvest in a short time. The remaining two are undifferentiated Former stock. Of course, with all these varieties, the needs of the Station inhabitants is far more varied!

Try to dislodge self, yet again. Fix nozzle.
(4) you manage to squeeze out of the dishwasher without jarring yourself or breaking anything new.
(4) and you manage to restre the nozzle to it's proper state, a little worse for the wear, but completely functional.

((You could ask him to PM you.))

Attempt to recognize Ee-Oon's species. If I recognize them:

I apologize if this is rude, Ee-Oon, but how did you happen to come upon this station? I've never encountered a(n) [speciesname] before.

If I don't:

I apologize if I'm prying too much, but may I inquire as to what species you are? I've never enountered one such as you before.

I'm not too hung up on consistency of speaking color. I go by feel, anyway. EeOon has a teal feel to him at the moment, so teal it is. BiGii's temptation to destruction has more of a red, shadowy feel, so .... anyway, you get the idea. I like what you've done with yours though, guys. One word of caution: no yelows or light blues: I have trouble seeing them on this screen and would prefer not to have to highlight to read. I will when necessary - it isn't a hard and fast rule, just a request.
