Ask if anything else is required of me.
A harried-looking creature appears on the vid-screen and asks you to please stand by for a bit, as the Harbor is experiencing some technical difficulties. Oh well, looks like the FireBug is not going anywhere for a little while. par for the course, you suppose. On the other hand, while the Firebug is in full working condition, there is always maintenance to be done. (1 + 1) you just don't know what needs to be done at the moment. Perhaps it's time to visit engineering?

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

Visit the engineering. Also, try to remember what is in the ship (Systems, droids, etc.) and who, as well as try to visualize a map.

Scurry off to get my datapad. Possibly fondle someone on the way.

((btw was that thing that was trying to eat the waiter one of my species? :P Sounds like something we would do, plus the quadruped thing, except I think mine has six legs...hmm))

Indeed, I do this.

Check up on autotrophic and saprotrophic monocellular or non-differentiated organism bases available, those may prove useful in sidelining the soil issue. Preferably something like a slime mold, but with added photosynthetic or chemosynthetic capability. It may be time to initiate a more effective breeding project.

Communicate in entirely reasonable Former manner.
(5-1) You Check Station records, as well as your own stocks, and discover several varieties that might prove useful.
(4-1) "Greetings Keffit-Kum of the Formers. I am unclear on your need. What is this about some crying children?"

Take him to his choice of table or booth. Give them a menu while I'm at it.
(3 +1 -1) You manage to untangle the large quadruped from the surrounding crowd, and lead it inside. It still seems intent on eating your face tentacles though. There are no booths large enough, though, of course, there is the open dining area to the left.
(3 v. 4-1) You continue to manage to keep it from doing so.
(6) You present a classy, paper menu to your guest, which it promptly eats.
(5 +1) This triggers your memory. This creature is a grazer, requiring large amounts of grass-like substances in frequent intervals!
(6) Many of the other patrons have followed you inside, still making a bit of a racket, and generally causing a fuss. Several of your coworkers arrive at the scene as well.

Call up a coworker, ask for airlock codes.
(3) "Here's the airlock codes. But it won't open unless all persons inside the airlock are inside environmental suits. Do you need assistance?"

Can I maybe have a Free Born to use later.
You are going to have to be more specific with your request.

1 meter Free Born 1: Go retrieve food from the mess hall for the day. Ask for Thorimus' usual and be polite. Distribute it on my feeding roots. Then return to the pod for further instructions.
All 30cm Free Bound: Go to your consoles and retrieve the workload for today. Then return to the pod for further instructions.
1 meter Free Bound 2: Wait by the door to the library and greet any who come in until the smaller Free Bound return to the pods. Then return to the pod for further instructions.

(4) FB-1 scurries off to retrieve the supplements you need.
(3) Small FBs scurry off to their consoles and begin processing the day's information load. They do not immediately return.
(4) FB-2 scurries off to greet customers. Someone makes an alarmed sound and jumps away quickly. Others come forward with requests for information on various topics, from history to current events to horticulture, to romance novels of the Varrianian species (which has five genders, making for highly complex and Operatic stories).

Visit the engineering. Also, try to remember what is in the ship (Systems, droids, etc.) and who, as well as try to visualize a map.
(6) you arrive at engineering, Saurian in tow (remind me to give this one a name. Suggestions welcome). There, you meet the other member of your security detail, a tall, long-beaked creature with small black eyes that give you shivers when it stares at you for too long, which happens more often than you like.
Here, you find various bits of equipment in need of repair: a couple EVA suits - one with faulty air circulation systems, one with burned out servos, causing half the appendages to lock up. You see a few sampling droids: One has a battery that rains far faster than it should, one has what looks like battle damage, that you know to be from the debris from the mining operation itself, and one that simply is not functioning. You do not know why.

(GM Rolls a 3 on "produce schematic of mining ship FireBug."
GM Rolls a 1 on "upload Said atrocity to Photobucket" - Photobucket not responding.)

Scurry off to get my datapad. Possibly fondle someone on the way.
(6) You arrive home in short order, out of breathe, only to discover that one of the family has already left with your pants (and lunch)! One of the younger Mammarians in the habitat looks at you quizzically, and asks "why didn't you call? You didn't need to run back."

Sit the quadruped down in that open dining area. Return to the front and seat as many people as I can in one go.

Remember that I also told FB 2 to beckon customers back to me if asked questions so I can inform them myself.

Hmm.
Attempt to indicate to FB 2 to return to me so I can help customers.
Remind self to tell FB 2 to return to me if approachedby customers.
If I can't indicate to FB 2 to return to me, hope it can take it on its initiative to return to me.

Time to inflict some more misery upon you all.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The mining lasers are mounted in a ring around the hull. That doesn't seem quite clear on the awkwardly reduced inset.

Hey, Do you all want me to produce some of my patented, high quality art, depicting your various races?
