Not really. I can pretty much just ask you guys what kind of general theme you want your regiment to follow, and what you want them to do. Then I can just allocate the regiment creation points that are given accordingly.

That's a good start, really all I want is a bit of a discussion where people are just throwing out fun/cool/interesting ideas. Like "Armored Tank Regiment from a world covered in tundra." (That was my real life group's regiment, was especially fun since the first campaign to place entirely on a barren desert wasteland.)

I'll offer some more ideas once the rulebook finishes downloading. I delayed a while, and it took a surprising amount of time. It'll probably be downloaded by the oh there it is.

You COULD be a full-out pilot regiment if you wanted to, although I don't remember if that regiment was a homebrew one or in the newest supplement. Probably the former, but I assume you mean something like drop-troopers. They basically drop in from just inside the atmosphere using gravity chutes to slow their descent. It's pretty cool.

Space combat and piloting I'm not entirely sure about, I'll check into rules regarding that. But paratrooping is certainly possible.

Space combat and piloting I'm not entirely sure about, I'll check into rules regarding that. But paratrooping is certainly possible. ( Yes 1000 times yes)

I'm good for a drop troop regiment.
A kind of outright offensive high risk unit that get's into the thick of the fighting and has the skills to pull it off, preferably with an appropriate offensive style leader who fights with his men. Something like hardened fighters or close order drills, double team. Or both .
