...which brings me to another question I've been having.

Why is the horse even a separate player?

Because it'd be awesome to be a jousting horse?   :D

Good question about sentience.  The non-automatic actions are totally freeform.  Players can try almost anything.  If a Steed wants to do anything not naturally horsey, like take up a dropped lance and joust, or communicate, or make a face, or get a drink at the tavern, or walk on its forelegs, or things like that which could significantly alter the outcome of the joust, they have to roll sentience first.  Basic Prancing, running and Violence does not need to roll sentience, anything advanced does.

Wait, why would a horse walk on its forelegs?

Also, I've got a hilarious image of my horse acting human, reminiscent of one Sir Bearington, so he's staying how he is! This might be the late night talking, but it's funny!

So we have a horse with Sentience 9 that pretends to be a human, and a pair of humans with Sentience 1 that pretend to be a horse.
I like where this thread is going.

(Turns out sentience does work how I originally thought it did, but hey, this is fine too)

Given that both characters are mounts, no.

Drat. A knight pretending to be a horse would have been a great addition to our team.

I suppose Team Evil needs an evil squire...

    Full Name: Ophidia
    Age: Indeterminate
Description: A tall, feminine entity with pale skin. Wears red leather studded with metal fangs. Her face is entirely concealed by a red hood, where two brimstone eyes glare out of. Two horns tear from the top of her hood. She wears three skulls on her shapely hips, hollowed out and sealed with wax-for use as drinking containers.
Short Bio: One of the Shadow Baroness's summoned 'consorts', Ophidia is an infernal being from the depths of the Hell-realm, given form and function. She's been assigned to assist her team in whatever way is deemed useful.

Just an fyi: there are technically only two teams at the moment, and both are full. Two of you fellows need to form the last of them, (and since there are 3 horses, you may not get a team for that matter...).

Question: if we wanted to do a checkup on the horse before each round, would that take an additional action point?
