"I think I hear a helicopter"
"Where the hell would...they...get"
A group of scavengers in a helicopter rises from behind one of the ridges and opens fire
"They have a goddamned helicopter, the hell'd they get that...RUN INTO THIS TUNNEL"

Well, this is where I end this chapter, I'll return later for the next chapter.
You and Rena run into the road tunnel, and further beyond there into a abandoned maintenance tunnel.
It's incredibly dark down there, but you manage by guiding along the walls.
The end of the tunnel is bright and overgrown.

"There it is, the Woodland. I've been to this place multiple times. Come on, the town of Dusk is this way."

No suggestion this time, I'll continue the cutscene for the start of chapter two later, though, I can tell you that this next chapter will be less actioney than this one, instead, we explore yours and Rena's backstories

Chapter-The Woodlands
"This is it, town of Dusk"
Around you are several shanty towns, and people crowded around burning barrels, several homeless, and their faces look as if they've lost all hope
"There's a hotel right here, I've paid someone quite a while ago to let me in free for the rest of my life"
As you continue walking you can see several starving children, and some have even starved and are being buried in the middle of the dirt road.
When you get in the hotel, another group of the homeless
"What happened here"
"The New United States of America government taxed the hell out of Woodland citizens to make funds for the military to fight the war in the west" "Barely anyone here can afford them"
She walks up to the store owner
"Frank"
"Rena"
"I just need to stay here one night"
"I'm sorry, I am sorry, but half the continent wants you dead, it's just not safe for me to.."
"We have a deal, I gave you 500 sheets, remember"
"I know, but you've got both the Westland government, The Widow, and Outsiders after you"
"Scavengers too, now"
"Look, just one night, that's all I need, I haven't slept in a week"
"I can tell........just one night"
As you and her start to leave for the room
"You can't keep doing this forever, you know...backstabbing every group that hires you....you're going to run out of people to smuggle for"
She remains silent
When you get to the room
"Here it is, I've had to use this room several times throughout my...career It's small, one bedroom,  a firepit out the door for a kitchen, but it will have to do, at least it's free"

You cook a few hotdogs before going to bed, and eat them, but Rena doesn't eat any, and simply goes to bed before you. You can't help but notice what you're wearing does not seem at all appropriate for a forest. It was okay back in the desert, but this isn't a desert.

Change out of the offending clothes unless we would be naked doing that.

You find a very dingy long sleeve shirt and jeans, after you have them on, you can hear rain start outside, doesn't matter though, you have a roof over your head. Though you start to feel tired.

Fall asleep. Use your dreams as an opportunity to mentally rehearse your fighting moves.

You get into the bed, and though it takes a while to finally fall asleep because of the sound of thunder, you eventually do so. When you wake up, Rena has already gotten up and has moved a chair up to the window and is watching it rain.

Watch Rena in a not at all creepy way for a couple minutes and then make breakfast.

After looking at Rena for a little bit, you try to fix breakfast, but there is nothing left to eat. You are starting to get hungry.

Point out the fact that there is nothing to eat to Rena.
