Derek smacks the wand against his thigh a couple of times. "I guess it must be broken?  Or maybe I'm not magical." he mumbles, a bit disappointed.

"If you're alright entering the room with a floating lava ceiling, I can't really argue."

Derek follows Myra, glancing behind him every few moments.

"Lava can't float..but then at least we know we're aboveground. Err, could you detail that tiny bit there about the lava?"

I'm fine with being NPC'ed and letting the next person in, on the condition that if I somehow get transformed back, I regain my position as a player.

Considering you're worth a point and people want that point, I can do the NPCification, but I'm leaving your soul value in there.  I find it rather likely that you'll be destroyed before you get fixed.

I think this solution is the best balance for not screwing people over.  You'll change at the end of the coming turn.

"That's the room I got this magical wand from.  The ceiling is made out of floating lava.  I thought it would fall on me when I took this from the center table like most traps would, so I ran out.  Lava didn't pour out through the passage so I'd guess it's still up there.  I don't know why it's breaking physics.  It was like that before I got there, really!

"...You know, a passing thought nudged me on why there's a huge pit-thing here. Does lava make a sound when it moves?"

"There is another passage, but I didn't go down it yet.  If the lava fell down and I ran that way I would have trapped myself inside whatever room I'd find.  I didn't do anything with the lava!  I'll bet if I threw this wand at it, it would burn to a crisp.  It looks hot enough!"

"I don't think lava would make a lot of noise were it to move, but lava is really hot.  We'd probably feel it before we'd see it."

"...Well at least we'll know if it gets too hot on if our books burn first.

"I'm going for that passage--beats being with the rest back there. It's nothing but violence."

"This is exactly why hanging around with axe-maniacs is a bad idea!  They talk normally for one second and then BAM!  They start swinging weaponry around!  ...What are they doing anyway?  I ran out before I could get cut in half."
