I thought I'd go in the News and choose the "give me money" option, then invest some into a free hospital, but it didn't seem to help at all. I also prospected, which of course turned out to be a waste of money. I really wish I could buy barrels of oil (clicking the button does nothing???), the price fluctuates so much I know I could profit by speculating. I bought a crate of lee enfields, and some foreign aid to increase my growth since I'm impatient.

Keep in mind that when your growth is higher than 3 million, it'll naturally decrease. The higher above 3 million, the faster it'll decrease. But remember, you have to be patient while waiting for your GDP to grow. Don't expect this to be a fast paced game, it's a browser game you occasionally come back to. It only took my four or five days to get to my current GDP, so just wait a bit.

Free Hospitals are very helpful initially, you want your approval to get to the point it'll rise on its ow (As long as you don't fuck up.) After that, high approval creates more stability, which in turn creates more growth.

I'm not entirely sure what that does. It either just changes your policies to be an instant dictatorship, or makes your approval the highest available (Worshipped as a God) Although you can get the highest stability by just waiting, and making sure it consistently stays high.

I think if your GDP is below 115, then it won't let you do much. I also never used foreign aid, and just assumed it'd gimp you somehow. The Republic of Rhodesia does not need the donations of foreign fatcats to grow strong!

Humanitarian is just +1 growth, for 75k cost, and only if you have less than 115GDP.

And with that, it's now time to ask for more input! From the looks of it, I see only two active African-based alliances. The African Union (The main powerhouse in Africa, with 100 people) seem to be rather peaceful. The much smaller African Legion (9 Players, all 200-500 GDP. Western aligned.) are also there, focused on spreading freedom. Do we contact either of these two alliances? Do we wait? Do we plan to attack the dirty american-backed legion? Your supreme leader implores you for opinions.

So does anyone know what the gameplay differences are between the West and East are? Do they care much if your economic policy is to the right/left? Not having anything else to go on, I'd vote we all kiss up to the East, because, communism yay.

I think it'll just net you different weapons for your army later similar to the air force choice.
