Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

"I will take the assassination."

"Very well. Will the lady Alexandria be accompanying our friend the Brute? Perhaps a joint operation?" An amused look was on his face.

"Sure, if we're done in time maybe we can get back to help the other group, otherwise they'll have to find a way to survive without us.

Don't be scared I'm sure you can handle a few rentacops and scientists without me to hold your hand..... maybe.

Leaning forward in her chair Alexandria blew a kiss at him then began running her finger along the blade of her sword.

" Please do be careful, I'd hate to lose the chance to get to know you more closely. "

Lokk-Agar began to chuckle.  It was an ugly, guttural sound.

"No need to worry my dear, 'I' won't be going anywhere.  You can be sure of that." He shifted his body slightly as he spoke, casually revealing the serrated blade at his hip.

"Splendid! We're all going to be great friends, I'm sure. As a sign of my friendship..." He presses a few buttons off screen. The table at which some of you sit opens up. Six different compartments are revealed, all holding a small metal disk, perhaps six inches in diameter. "Give them the demonstration, Mica."

One of the employees wordlessly takes his place at the front of the room, where he pulls out his own disk. He holds it up high for all to see, and presses a button in the center of one side, the blue button, making it expand into the shape of a tablet. He shows it to the Sellswords. A video feed matching the master screen in the room is revealed. "PDA. Internet. Communication. Data storage. universal interface port." He pulls a UIP plug from the side of the device. It retracts as he releases it. He then presses the blue button on the top left of the tablet, transforming the device into a metallic disk once more. He then turns it around, revealing a red button. He presses it, turning it into an earpiece. "Hands off device. Internet. Communication." He puts the device on. A holoscreen appears in front of his eyes as he presses a button on the side of the device.

"A new toy from Sugar POP. Wonderful, aren't they? Not on the market yet, but they'll surely be a must have for any wannabe Sellsword. Take your gifts and be on your way. I'll have someone contact you when we have set up the 'accident' in the compound. And for you two, I'll make sure you're informed when Bombur is mobile."

"Now, if you'll excuse me, my favourite show is on..."
The feed switches over to that of a small, colourful room. A bloodied man sits, tied to a chair in the centre. A soft, comforting lullaby is being played over the speakers.

And we'll be sweet, sweet dreaming, and you'll be sweet, sweet dreaming, and I'll be-- the song stops, replaced by a blaring klaxon. The injured man rouses immediately.

"Kid... Kid! I'm sorry! I won't do it again, please! PLEASE!" he screams. Two men wearing black suits and carrying briefcases enter the room. They pull one of the kid sized tables over to the man, setting their briefcases on top. Inside, various tools of their trade. Knives, syringes, blunt objects, all in sharp contrast to the whimsical decor of the room. One man strikes the prisoner hard in the face. And so their work begins...

MISSION PREP

Before the mission begins, the Sellswords are allowed to do anything within the city. Buy tools or weapons, pray to their various gods, or get wasted. Eventually, they'll be contacted by one of the Kid's secretaries. It takes at least a week for these missions to start, usually. You're free until that time.

Purchase a power drill and some plastic explosives plus detonators - as much as 500 credits can afford me.

Look for the cost of flashbangs and chloroform.

Once out of the building, Lokk-Agar looks over the disk he was given, testing out it's features.  He presses the red button, putting it into headset mode, and puts it on.  He then brings up the heads-up display using the button on the side, and promptly uses it to locate the nearest pub.

Head to the nearest pub, get drunk.  While drinking, use disk to examine the prices for a thermal visor and a set of smoke grenades.

Find the price for a fully automatic, suppressed balistic pistol with an extended mag. Check out the area around where our assassin target lives looking for a good sniper position.

Purchase a power drill and some plastic explosives plus detonators - as much as 500 credits can afford me.

[CRIT] After only hours of searching, and a little help from your contacts, you find the best explosive dealer in the entire city.

You enter a veritable bunker just outside the city, disguised as a farm. Your contacts called in ahead of time, so the barn door opens as you approach it. You descend the stairs and enter a vault door. Inside, a large, one armed ramok sits behind a counter, tinkering with something. Two heavily armoured guards stand in the corners.

"You be looking for an explosives? That's what they telled me..." he says, without looking up. He tosses a box of explosives on the table. Mostly grenades, but also some timed explosives. Hopefully these models are inert. "All types of grenades there. Handmaked. Or you perhaps looking for something else? Foam? Plastic? Binary?" He continues his work.

Look for the cost of flashbangs and chloroform.

There are many military 'surplus' stores around, some shadier than others. Comparing their prices, flashbangs go for anywhere from 10-60 C apiece, the lower prices for the homemade variety, while the pricier ones were probably 'borrowed' from security corporations. Chloroform is easy enough to come by. 'Specialty' stored sell it by the litre, or in half litre bottles for spraying, for 10 C or 5 C respectively.

You notice the diskmate has already been personalized for you. With bright colours and Kwaa's voice. The other options for voices are 'Male', 'Female', 'Katt', and 'None'. "Kwaa~ Looking for a pub? How about these?" she says in her high pitched voice. A list of pubs and taverns appear. You choose the nearest one. "Remember, don't drink and drive! Kwaa~"

After you've had a drink, you use the diskmate to find the items you need. "Kwaa~! Searching for special Sellsword merchants!" You find a few shops online that deliver, or let you pick up. Thermal visors go for anywhere from 200 to 1500 C, varying widely in quality and performance. Smoke grenades go for 30-60 C apiece, depending on quality and duration.

Flit hit the streets. She wouldn't be a good merc if she didn't do her homework.

Action: Cast my net for rumors about our new employer, 'The Kid', good or bad. What happened to the other people who work or worked for him?

It doesn't take you long to find out the Kid is a prominent man, at least in this city. Some people say he is extremely dangerous and deranged, while others openly mock him for his tastes. No one knows where he lives, but most assume it's somewhere in Reavtan. A few things are not disputed though: he treats those in his employ well, but those that betray him rarely escape the city alive; he deals with Sugar POP, mostly; and his goons are almost mindless in their devotion to him.

Some random rumours include:

"They say he's not like other men... He only eats candy from bowls of the skulls of his enemies!"

"He has a strange obsession with that damned cartoon... You know the one, 'Kwaa'? Some say he has a robot army of Kwaas... And somehow I believe it."

"They say he was born on Ges, and trained as a warrior in one of their tribes. He's a master swordsman, with plasma swords!"

"The Kid is just like any other man. He will die when shot in the head. The hard part is finding him. Try the Depths. They say he has a hidden fortress down there."

"He can't be seduced. He has nothing... down 'there'. Apparently he was born without. Nothing more dangerous than a man that can't be controlled."

These rumours are, at best, of dubious quality. If you want anything better, you'd have to work at it a bit longer. Do you wish to dig deeper?

Find the price for a fully automatic, suppressed balistic pistol with an extended mag. Check out the area around where our assassin target lives looking for a good sniper position.

Your tastes are quite specific, but it only takes you a few hours to find what you are looking for. You enter an old warehouse, where you're greeted by two men, one dirthin and one hintling, both standing behind a table. Your contacts called ahead, it seems. They put the requested weapon on the table.

"Andre 160. Fully automatic. Extended magazine. Suppressor. 450 C," the dirthin says stoically. His voice was muffled, but you can't see why. Too dark.
