"May I suggest splitting the team? Some of us are better suited to a more discreet line of work then to breaking and entering. I'd personally prefer the assassination mission, it's a lot more up my alley then walking into a building past armed guards while on security cameras.

Can I have the details on the assassination?

"Oh, pish-posh. What's more discreet than not killing anyone and slipping past some security?"

"May I ask for more info on the Break and Enter Extraction?"

Suagr POP's long time rival in the pharmaceutical industry, Jection Pharm, has made a revolutionary new drug they say can perform surgery in the field quickly and automatically. An injection drug that performs surgery... Crazy, yes? Well, it isn't so far fetched. Sugar POP spies have shown that this product exists and does work. At least somewhat. That's enough to cause alarm. There are two targets to this B&E extraction. One is primary, one is optional. The primary target is the data on the new drug. You will be given a decryptor module to be used on the Jection mainframe. Once copied, destroy the mainframe. The secondary target is Alenya Foren, the head researcher on the project. Securing her will get you an extra 6000 credits. They want her alive. If absolutely necessary, kill her. This will reduce your bonus to 2000 credits. If you can't reach her, or she escapes, forget the objective. It is imperative you bring that module back with the information.

The Kid disappears from the screen, replaced with a video feed. It shows a birdseye view of a compound, bordered by the sea.

This is Jection Pharm's R&D compound, northwest division. They have provided me with no floor plans, they only say the mainframe is in the basement, bottom floor. If you choose this mission, you will be smuggled in through the underground port at night, via cargo ship. The ship crew has been payed handsomely, so they wont mind a few stowaways. Once you're in the warehouse, you're on your own. They will make sure there is an 'accident' that Ms. Foren will be there to clean up.

The Kid reappears on the screen, smiling as always.

"Splitting the team? That's certainly possible. But with division comes weakness. If some of you agree to divide into a smaller group, I won't stop you."

"The assassination target is Bombur the Foreign, a Minoch Security corporal. He's been a thorn in Sugar's side for far too long. You can choose to kill him where he lives, in a bunker on the south side of town with his family, or while he's on a mission. If you target him while he's on a mission, I'll alert you to his whereabouts as soon as I get word. You'll be deployed near the site, and from there it's up to you."

"Ooh, yeah, Break and Enter Extraction sounds right up my alley. If I take it, will it just be me or will all these schmu-wonderful people be coming with me? Also, anything relevant ya can tell me about the mission itself?"

This is a team game, my friend. Everyone needs allies. At least a few.

"I'd much prefer to take him in the open when he's on a mission if anybody else is interested. Otherwise I guess it can wait until we've dealt with the thugs work then I can get back to work on the real jobs."

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

"Break and enter sounds good to me." Flit said quietly, knowing at some level, her decision already carried weight-who would go into a firefight without their medic, after all.

(sorry I haven't posted for a while, I was out all day)

"Though I hate to agree with some of you... people, the breaking and entering job sounds simple enough, and it's decent pay to boot.  I would also suggest keeping the team together for now to see how well we manage to operate together as a group, though judging by that little display..." Lokk-Agar stares pointedly at Zbax "...the chances of us working as a team seem slim, at best."

((Yeah, I got the reference. Unfortunately, sandwich based healing technology is beyond the scope of this setting, so I translated it to a common ham sandwich. Enjoy!))

"Either way we get paid, but since I'm the sniper here I'm pretty sure it's more likely for me to kill him then you if it shows up, I'll probably be staying outside to keep an eye on things and cover your exit, bit hard for you to stab him from inside don't you think?

"Which mission has less restrictions on wanton destruction?"

"A valid question. I suppose both of the missions call for a certain... subtlety that you may not be accustomed to. Both missions, however, will also require firepower at some point during their execution. A daring escape, perhaps? Or maybe an ambitious attack? Who can say? Try not to get anyone killed, though."
