((Yeah, bump already...tho, perhaps we're just getting ready for the big scene changes?))

Beth dreams she's flying-though, she nearly always dreams she's flying-but now her wings are larger and more powerful. She's flying amongst the clouds...higher, and higher...looking for home...

Strangely, Derry is holding onto her hand, and she's pulling him alongside her, pulling her down-it's hard to fly carrying him like this. It occurs to her in dream logic she might be able to go even faster and even higher if she dropped him, but some part of her promises she'll never let him fall, because she loves him...but another part is already letting go, because he's holding her back.

She finds herself greatly afflicted by this odd sense of indecision, and in the real world, she remains asleep, yet her brow furrows in concentration.

((Yeah, my backstory was pretty well established...I'll just set up something any other player jump in on. It might be important for the future too, for this would have been the first friend Beth had-she's only wearing her practice wings at this time, and lets say it's about 3 years ago.))

Bethany felt a momentary queasiness as she leaped from the roof of the tavern-but, her wings caught an updraft easily...and while she wasn't exactly flying, not yet, she was certainly falling with style. Practice made perfect, as her father said, though he probably didn't intend for her to jump from quite high up so early...

Unfortunately, her perfect landing was about to interrupted-she realized this as the ground approached. There was some boy in her way! They were going to crash into each other!

"Outta the way, scudbrain!" She yelled, diving toward him at an uncontrolled speed.
