So we have a hired gun and a hacker kind of guy... Is anyone going to be magic based or melee based? I'm kinda torn between the two...

Hmmm, I'm thinking something like an adept and using machine pistols and swords, but a magician could work if I could settle on what spells to take. Definitely taking a machine pistol if I can swing it though.

What the hell is Chummer anyway?

Also, thanks for being the magician. I don't think I can handle something so complex on my first try at this system... I'm gonna try and figure out a choice between either a street samurai or an adept of some kind, since adepts seem easier to understand than magicians.

Chummer is a character building program for shadowrun, to handle all the nasty maths for you

I would go with full on Street Samurai if I were you. We still don't have anyone who's completely decked out in cyberware.
