What should we tell the mountainhome?

A - Long live the King, Baron up and join the mountainhome for good.
B - Long live our own ends, distance the Fort from the mountainhome for good.
If both votes are tied, RNG decides. A vote placed here will be strategically wasted.

Survived as in stranded in a hospital, running around infected or simply scarred? The fine details matter in this game^^ Although I guess I will get a dwarven equivalent of Purple Heart or however that American award for getting shot was^^

I might have to request Dorfing...  Grombardrim, your best Marksman if he's available, if not than the best available military dwarf.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I would be worried if I were you, the marksdwarves of the contested books haven't been having the best mortality rates so far. The captain and one other just died. On that note, 6 Dwarves for 7 goblins could be a better statistic.

Trif also just made a fancy hat, which he alone gets to wear.

While you won't get a rose gold heart, you did get a tiny scar from where the bolt struck you in the side.

You're the only Dwarf to sustain serious flesh wounds who didn't die, coincidentally.

Hmm.  On the one hand, consider me worried.  On the other...  Grombardrim looks EXACTLY how I pictured a Dwarf version of me (minus the gender) and has pretty much my exact personality.  At this point, I don't even CARE what happens to me!

Being the sole survivor of the tinned medicine and the Fort's only medical dwarf, Ms. Willsauce thought of a new way to go about military healthcare. Yes, the only way to heal people was to make them heal themselves, only through great muscle could Dwarfkind persevere with even the gravest injuries... She would become the muscle medic. The medic that the soldiers would aspire to be.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Her first patient has also arrived, Kivish fell straight down the cistern borehole being dug out. Stood on a pile of rock just as it collapsed, a right tragedy.

Unless she chooses to join ice duty I don't see any reason why she should inexplicably and suddenly die. Or an ambush happens, but such is the life in the blizzard of death.

Muscle Medic!?  That has to be the greatest advancement in Dwarven medicine EVER!  Namely, proactive medicine: Dorfs don't get hurt if the hurter gets hurt by another hurter before it (the original hurter) can hurt the hurtee.  Genius!

Can you PM me a copy of this save? It seems my dwarf is enemy to some civ, I would love to submerge myself in the legends mode to find more stuff out.... I may even make a mini "History of..." series if one would be interested, either written(horrible grammar option) or video (horrible audiovisual quality)^^

Your choice, Commander^^. And before anyone asks, yes I am working on my other projects, relax....

This should help. It says there that they are rather though type of monster, lethal to unexperienced dwarfs.

Oh, I didn't think they were in the vanilla game. I've never heard of them before, and both dwarves in that post had references to them in their descriptions.

As I remember it, its a creature composed of mud and dirt that grabs dwarves and hauls them into the water to drown.  Or is that a "grabber"?
