I'm 2/3rds done. I just have a bunch of people over the apartment slowing me down today, and ONLY 1 ACTION FAILED FOR THE WHOLE FREAKING TURN! So I had to more or less write everything out so far, which is likely making it take a bit longer.

I should have it done tonight, if not, first thing in the morning.

Considering that at least I got more dice to roll than the difficulty of the check for the main thing I cared about, IIRC, I think I'm good XD

I roll like... 6d6 on Siderial Martial Art checks. Plus the 2 or something for taking my time and stuff.

You were doing an advancement check, yes? Those are exempt from time bonuses. And since you're attempting to learn either a new maneuver or ritual, I don't think you actually get all those bonuses from magical combat and SMA specialization.

EDIT: Oh, and advancement checks are a DC of 7, so you can't possibly have more dice than it unless you're rolling with a mastered skill that has specialized ranks.

Oh well, good thing Siddie Martial Arts are so damn varied that TECHNICALLY there's shit in there that could count as spells.

Anything that "is obviously meant to be done in a particular amount of time" is exempt, which I'd say includes advancement attempts. Anyway, it's just one failed action Kuji. You have what, a one in 17 chance of that being your action?

It's one failed action that would have been impossible without time bonuses, AND took eight hours off of my forum turn.

Actually for advancement it states at least 4 hours which means you can put more hours into it if you desire, it doesn't make sense to have that as an option if the dice don't increase as you put more hours into it.

If this isn't the case you should probably change the wording in it

Kansa, the rules was made as more of a luxury to make certain actions less devastating. Not to make life easier. It just wouldn't be Magia if that was the case.
