"Let's do this the right way!"

Create Telekill Alloy and weave it through the planet's rock.

Well, let's say you're going away from Earth on huge spaceship and suddenly shit goes wrong and you have Super Mutants. Social Experiments prepared them for this.

"Let's stop all this mucking about with my poject, hmm?"

Create a series of worldwide deep earth caverns and fill them with beings known as Deep Spawn.

Deep spawn are creatures whose sole purpose is to maintain the system that keeps The Caged One caged until it is mature enough to hatch, via removing any contact to the outside world, making sure to siphon off or expel excess energy from the Leylines and that they stay in optimal configuration, and other mysterious means.

They are comprised of Two Castes. Administrators are the leaders of the Deep spawn. One is assigned to every two hundred and fifty acres (I cannot distance.) of land or ocean. They are inborn masters of Magnetomancy, Geomancy, and Soul Manipulation. They direct the lower caste to maintain the system and retrieve/destroy things which may threaten it. They do attempt to maintain their existances secrecy, and negotiate before kill, but will keep the system maintained at all costs. Despite their massive power, if one is killed the other administrators must forever pick up the slack.

The second are merely called Spawn, and much more numerous, at least a few hundred to one administrator. They can be of virtually any shape and size, their shape and capabilities based entirely around two concepts or words that are fed into them upon their creation. They are created by someone infusing a tiny fragment of their soul (Don't worry, it grows back in days!) into a Deep Spawn Core, which can be created by Administrators tapping directly into the leylines and siphoning off excess power via a method of only which they are aware. They are fanatically loyal to the soul who spawned them, and no artifact or magic will get them to act otherwise. They regenerate at an accelerated pace and are annoyingly hard to kill. They rarely speak to any but their spawner unless ordered.

They need only a small ammount of magic per day to survive, needing no food, water or air.

Deep spawn cores may be traded to above worlders for exceptional services to the cause, like returning an escaped fragment of the Caged One's conciousness. They are powerful spheres of mysterious soul energy and can be used for any number of purposes if not used for creating a Spawn for your own.

You know what would have prevented the mucking about from the start? Telling us what you were doing! Telling anyone, in fact...

((Quick question: Would making a new species from another one be cheaper than making a new species from whole cloth?))

{1} - Yon pets The Caged One. It bites her hand. Having had a taste of godly blood, it wants more. It also learns Hate.
((I lol'd. Some days you just accomplish everything!))

"Finally! Just a few tweaks to my trees, and maybe something to eat the Gribbers, or be eaten by the Gribbers... or... hm... can't just abandon the Gribbers on the other continents...

Bah! Who knew having pets was such a chore. Heh."

Create Slimeweed, a bubblegum pink ground plant that looks somewhat like a very smooth, dinnnerplate-sized brittle star. Their entire body is photosynthetic, and thus they have no leaves as such. They like moist conditions, and can even live underwater if enough light reaches them. They are fairly fast-growing, and entrenched specimens have a root cluster that can regrow the plant if its aboveground portion is destroyed. They produce a large, bright blue flower on top of their center that, if successful, produces a dark purple globule of jelly as a fruit. Their tiny seeds are in the jelly and can survive being digested by most creatures.

((You don't get a bonus, but I'll take it into account when deciding what the rolls mean. Depending on how closely related they are, you'll likely get a full success on a {4} or {5}, with a 'mostly' for a {3}. If you wish, it will also mutate many of the existing creatures, so they don't start off with a tiny population.))

((I was actually asking about cost, especially since there seems to be some already-mutagenic stuff in the ground...but whatever, I'll just make my species the same either way.))

The world is good, but barren. Three species of animals and two of trees...almost no other notable plants...this must be fixed.
Create the Trilobcyclers from some Cyclers and algae or other small plant.

You know, I actually had plans for my own moon at some point. Maybe even a planet, but nothin' fancy, just a domain a' my own, y'know? Trouble is, dunno how much power any a' that'd take and there's too much to be done on the ground still, heh."

At some point, you just realize that you're unlikely to succeed.

Quite understandable. That image of moons is what drove us to try in the first place.

Doe-de-doe.

((Some things are invisible, and not shown on the spinning planet view.))

{1} - While Yon tries to calm The Caged One down and coax it from hatred, it becomes enraged and unleashes a blast of the Power It stole from her, scarring the third continent.
{5} - One of the minor gods create many veins of Telekill Alloy underneath the planet's surface. This is a Good Idea.
{1} - Auphanim creates the Deep Spawn to watch over The Caged One. He first designs the Spawn, and leaves masses of Cores in place during his design of the Administrators. While nobody is watching, The Caged One somehow compromises most of the caverns by awakening a few, who then begin awakening others. It is in telepathic contact with them.
{1} - Ar'kahal accidentally coats the ground in toxic slime.
{3} - Neyravah mutates cycliers into an aquatic varient, but doesn't manage to get them capable of reproduction.

{3} - The Caged One now considers its telepathy to be complete.
{3} - The Thoquas Hive decides that Love is probably generally better than Hate.

-----===============-----

Ar'kahal spreads his senses out, and gives a loud yelp of sheer terror as he finds a !!MASSIVE GAPING WOUND IN SPACE-TIME!!
He then chastises himself. The hole is the same as its always been. Now, the advanced form of a caged one emerging from it and heading straight for the planet is new. Very Bad, that, not at all part of his Plan. He briefly considers the merits and demerits of trying to hurl Yon at it.

Shit. Delay or kill the Adult, I haven't given them their code of ethics yet! They weren't supposed to even EXIST until after that. It will devour the system if you do nothing.
Shit shit Destroy all the Cores and Awakened spawn.
