Would it be considered impolite to ask why you made it in the first place?

The only thing we can think of is that you wanted the inhabitants of Mitheraria to band together to stop the Caged One, but that doesn't make any sense.

They would probably do that if they knew about it. Which if they do it wouild have probably burst open soon anyway, and would require gratuitous planetwide use of soul magic. Or, they could be born, live, and die, and add their sum total of life experiance and knowledge to The Caged One over and over for billions of years until it gestates, gains a mind, and breaks free to roam the (eventual) stars.

((If you're still confused, the closest analogue is basically a giant magical Reaper from Mass Effect.))

((Actually, I think I understood until you tried to use the comparison. And now I'm confused.))

Forgive us. We're not the great, mighty, ancient Auphanim, but which part of that requires the whole 'destroys the planet as it leaves' thing?

"Oh, well if it was, you know, actually ready, most of the life on the surface would already be dead due to the planet running out of resources or the sun being near supernova. If it escapes now, It will just make a continant wide crater, which while disasterous, is only a prelude to the fact that it's too weak to go anywhere and will attract others of it's kind who did finish their birth properly, and will then summarily eat it, the planet, it's moons, and quite possibly the sun."

((The comparison isn't perfect.))

Look around to determine if there is Anything aside from Mitheraria and the Sun.

That still doesn't answer Our question. Why does it need to destroy the planet? That seems like an unneeded potential disaster. Its your fault for building the potential bomb as it is others' for accidentally detonating it. Neither wanted to destroy Mitheraria, but both contributed.

"Well, I made it because it is the ultimate example of people improving themselves. They are given a soul, their soul grows exponentially with experiance and knowledge, the Caged one then recieves the soul and hatches as the culmunation of the entire planets life experiance. When I said I wanted mortals to become better than themselves I was not fucking around. Also there isn't anything else yet. I need some time. Also it destroys the planet because of two things. One, How else would it get out? Two, it eats it's shell for strength. And the moons. Not the sun, though, we can always make more planets that way."

"The only way I can see this being a good thing is if the fully grown Caged one lays eggs that become planets of their own right, teeming with life, life benefiting from all the evolution and experience of souls absorbed by the previous generation Caged one, leading ultimately to a cycle of destruction and rebirth. I don't see this happening the way you keep pushing things."

"Well, see, the problem is I haven't gotten that far. Would you give me some damn time!? It's like you think this can all be done in a single movement!"

This would be acceptable if it worked like this...

"Well, see, the problem is I haven't gotten that far. Would you give me some damn time!? It's like you think this can all be done in a single movement!"
You added planet-destroying capability first? We have the feeling that you didn't plan this out as well as you claim.

((And this is why I don't like RP. It always ends with me looking like an idiot somehow. Possibly because when I have to spell things out it IS idiotic (Wisdom sphere GO). Also I'm not going to respond. Imagine I sulked off or something if you want, I'm starting to really not care.))

((Given your sudden real-life stress, some amount of not thinking things through is expected. That said:))

You added planet-destroying capability first?
((No he did not. As he has not made any changes to it since sending me his plans, it does not have the ability to do anything other than what I have said.))

{2} - Neyravah creates a golf-ball sized rock over the planet. It circles the planet a few times before the unstable orbit plunges it into the atmosphere.
{6} - Ar'kahal revives the Gribbers, making them prefer the current environment and making them quite difficult to kill in the process. They are now omnivorous.
{5} - Auphanim creates a magic fuel system. While doing so, he notes that the fabric of reality is a bit frayed about the edges, and isn't sure whether or not it was always like that.
{2}+1=3 - The minor gods create a few gemstone veins underground.
{1} - Yon pets The Caged One. It bites her hand. Having had a taste of godly blood, it wants more. It also learns Hate.
-0.05 Power/turn

{1}+1=2 - Nothing happens to Landmass 2's Maka trees. Such slothful flora.
{6+1=7} - Landmass 2's Maka trees go into overdrive bloom.
{3} - The Leypull trees continue their slow growth.
{4} - The Caged One makes major progress in its telepathy.
{2} - The Thoquas Hive begins to contemplate this Hate concept The Caged One is infatuated with. They're not convinced it's a good idea.

"Quite the feisty little thing, this Caged One."

Explain to the Caged One that Hate, in essence, is pointless. It is merely the railing of the mind against the natural harmony of things. It is this harmony that feeds and sustains the Caged One, and it would be wise to rein in hate, even if it is not entirely familiar with its more favorable flipside, Love.
