It could be both, though, like Mt. Olympus. An actual physical location, difficult-to-reach, thought to be the home of the gods/the halls of the dead.

I'd like to note that this whole incident is not going to help Grewie's trust in Alexandra...

Your point being? Being liked or trusted is not a concern for the blades. They have a job to do and will carry it out. Nothing beyond that is important.

The blades need a hobby.

They have a hobby, when they are not standing guard they're training.

That's not healthy. Have you ever thought of making them read?

You could teach them to read maps. Then they wouldn't get lost in the woods!  :P

The blades can read, and write.

Read maps? Says the guide using a map 15 years out of date, who's speciality is forestry who then got lost in a forest.

Lol wyrm, you were given an assignment 24 hours ago and haven't even made ready to leave yet? God forbid we ever need your magic, the battle would be over before you'd even got out of bed.

Plus blades are assassins first spies second and far better armed and trained then any but the wardens, so your going be guarded by militia, good luck surviving.

Ardas, unless there's something preventing you from doing it can you roll my turn?

Oh jeez, sorry. Iituem started your rolling so I'm kinda shaky on stealing this roll from him, seeing how the philosopher is his NPC.
But ok, what was your action again? building libraries?

Busy atm, so steal rolls as you will.

Or, anyone's for that matter.
Indeed. But Grewie already distrusted Alexandria.

Your point being? Being liked or trusted is not a concern for the blades. They have a job to do and will carry it out. Nothing beyond that is important.
My point being, there is another reason for Grewie to act distrustful towards the Blades and their leader. For instance...well, the escort thing. Without the "assassin" incident, Grewie wouldn't have made a fuss about the Blades escorting him.

You could teach them to read maps. Then they wouldn't get lost in the woods!  :P
Sounds like a good idea!
Besides...

Lol wyrm, you were given an assignment 24 hours ago and haven't even made ready to leave yet? God forbid we ever need your magic, the battle would be over before you'd even got out of bed.
Hey, I was assuming that the preparations took time...and I'm still not entirely sure how much time has passed since the assignment was given...and I didn't have a chance to post every minute...and the night kinda passed quickly...
...and maybe Grewie was still hoping to get the escort reduced. That's a reasonable thing, right?

Regardless, assassins are not warriors. Bring this up if you wish, I have a response prepared.
In fact, please bring it up.

What you have done is impressive but to rely on your past to tell me how you will react in the present would be foolish in the extreme and we have not served the king for 10 years with a perfect record of success by being foolish and taking risks.
Didn't you take a foolish risk by having one of your women fake being an assassin who was going to kill the king?

Not warriors? The raiders we're warriors. They got cut to shreds.

But no matter if the king decides to give you some militia with no training and bugger all equipment that's your problem I'll just send the blades off now rather then have them wait even longer.

You got the assignment almost a full day ago, it would of taken a couple of hours tops to gather up the food and water and pack some clothes.
So you've wasted the best part of 20 hours.

Also, how do you know what I've just said? Only myself, the king, the marshall and the men around us know and none of them have left to go anywhere, so you should not know anything about it yet.

Lol that won't happen, the marshall is more likely to behead her.

You know, as much as I love bluster in character, please keep it in character where you guys can actually challenge one another to duels.  It's just a bit annoying in the OOC thread.

Guys, keep your animosity IC. I want courtiers to hate each other, not the players. You won't gain any favour by bickering.
