Jarrod, seeing that all the weapons are pointed away, gets up and exits the store.

We can't use green and someone is already using orange. I doubt that colour blue would be much better than the Brown or Purple.

Chapter 9: Communication

~Day 1~
August 8th, 2015
10:37:38 A.M.

"No, sorry. We were just heading to the town to see what we could scrounge up."
Jarrod, seeing that all the weapons are pointed away, gets up and exits the store.

"No, sorry. We were just heading to the town to see what we could scrounge up." Kyle informs the pair of survivors. The guy sighs, indicating disappointment. Charles whispers from his cover, "I say give them something, as long as they help us," but this either is too soft to be heard by the other members or it doesn't completely register with them. Ben further expands on what Kyle has said, "Sorry guys, I'm not in charge of food, but no hard feelings about the guns or anything, it's stressful times for all of us." Clair doesn't say anything. A silence hangs in the air for a moment before the guy says, "Well okay then, we'll be off looking for stuff. Nice meeting you guys, I guess." He turns around, walking back onto the road and towards the green fields beyond the store. The woman follows suit, except she walks backwards, keeping her eye on the other group as she falls away from them.

It's at this point that Jarrod and Mr. Rand noticed the situation deescalated, and finally decided to move outside with the rest of the group. However, as they step out happens to coincide with the other group leaving. Mr. Rand makes an attempt at standard conversation with the others.

[Mr. Rand Charisma Roll: 1]

Rand thinks about what the warmest and most appropriate way to introduce himself would be, 'Hello', or 'Greetings' or perhaps 'Good Mornings.' Trying to blurt them all out at once he ends up saying something similar to the effect of, "HWUNGAAH." The other party take a few slow steps, staring at Mr. Rand, before sprinting immediately into the field, making considerable distance in a short amount of time until they're out of hearing range.

So I've thought up a new feature to speed the game up a bit: Conversing with NPCs can be handled in between turns, so if you talk or ask questions outside of your actions, the NPC(s) can respond to it before the next turn is up. However, any actions that require a roll, such as trying to Persuade an NPC of something, will need to be put in your action for the next turn. Also, NPC(s) might stop talking with you for a variety of reasons, and you'll need to wait until the next turn to try talking to them again.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

"I say it might be better this way. It'll be easier for us to survive the less people we have to feed and take care of. And since there's nothing here of any use, we might as well keep going towards the town."
