I'm sorry I've been so out of it, I can't give you a fully developed set of reads today.  I'll try to give a quick summary though.

GriffDay: you have a solid rebel read on Dariush? why?
Because I don't feel NQT was attempting tell a new spy team member how to avoid double voting, he was fixing an error that occurred the first day.  I don't think Daruish would stick two scum on the same team first day, (unless he's doing it randomly, which would be stupid to actually do as scum) so yeah, he's clean.

GriffDay: what are your objections to GriffPup?
See above, I'd prefer to neither have Nerjin or Griffpup on my ideal team.

GriffDay:  Do you think NQT attempted to communicate?
Yes.  I think his reason for do such a risky play was because both he and another scum lay low the first night.

You're on it. So no.

May I propose, for the consideration of the Town, that we put to a vote who goes on the team? Each person puts up who they'd want to send and the 4 people who've been voted on going the most get to head out?

As I don't trust Lenglon it seems more prudent to do something at least similar to that.

After all, Lenglon my dear, if you ARE town why not allow the town to choose what is essentially their best chance to win? It'd go a long way to establish some credibility on your part. Other-wise we all know that you'll just try to throw yourself or a scum-buddy on the team. Unless of course you DON'T have the town's best interest in mind?
I'm sorry Nerjin, you seem to think people's opinion of me, or how much credibility I have, matters.
It doesn't.

I have no intentions of even pretending that your opinion matters.
Either I get this right and I'll be PROVEN twon, or we're all doomed anyways.

Credibility doesn't matter anymore.

I am town. The reason I am town is because I am the only person who matters right now, and I say I am confirmed town.

stop wasteing my time and instead try to persuade me who else should be on the team and why.

Day: That's palusible, Nerjin could be a spy instead of Dariush. Please provide a lynch case on him.

[[Town's Opinion of me doesn't matter anymore because I'm drunk with power.]]

WRONG! See the fact of the matter is that our opinion DOES matter. Would you like to know why scum-bag?

Week 5. Week 5 is where it will boil down to if this mission fails. Every little thing you've said, all these power-mad toyings around with us, all that does is show your true colors. You think you have it won. You're so amused jerking the town around with this "Oh go ahead and tell me who should be on and who shouldn't." business but you don't care. You come out and say as much. My suggestion was reasonable. A little unorthidox BUT it would have done two things:

1. Removed the power from someone who has LOW probability of being town and knows it. The town doesn't trust you Lenglon. Yet you dismiss our opinions of you as worthless. You would have had the final say and following through with the rest of the players leads would have given you a bit of a boost of credibility.

2. Would have forced EVERYONE to propose their dream-team. Thus putting out people's reads. Something that would have helped townies get better reads on every player.

Both of the above would only be beneficial to town so I find it odd that someone who claims to be confirmed town wouldn't want them.

Here's the thing though. We can still pull this off. Early on you said that the town needed you. The town does need every single townie on the last mission.

But here's the thing you seem to be trying to distance yourself from the town right now. "I have no intentions of even pretending that your opinion matters." "Credibility doesn't matter anymore." "I am the only person who matter right now." Those are some VERY interesting things for a townie to say. ESPECIALLY one who goes on to ask others to persuade your opinion.

Now isn't that a nice little ribbon? Two HEAVILY conflicting ideas in the same post? "Convince me to your side." "Fuck you, I'm the only one who matters."

This mission WILL fail with you on it. Of that I am certain. But I also know this. YOU are 100% scum. There is no doubt in my mind for even a second. The town WILL win. You've made it too obvious this time around Lenglon. You've given us a confirmed scum.

Just stop jerking the town around, admit that you're scum, and post the failing team.

Future tip: Don't be so obvious that you're scum in the future. It really takes the fun out of the game when they're so obvious.

@nerjin

nope, see, Week 5 I won't be trusted if this team fails, period. Coming to accept that was a key part of my decision to go ahead and make this power play in the first place.
nice try though.

Nerjin, you have nothing to lose by going ahead and assuming, for today only, that I am confirmed town. treat me as confirmed scum IF this team gets sabotaged too. that's fair. until then, lets try to make actual progress, ok?
Reality is, I'm going to end up picking the team that goes on mission. I am not going to step down from that fact.
The team I pick will be auto-upvoted, and it better succeed, or we lose.
If this team fails, then I'm probably never going to be going on-mission ever again, hence why I view this as the last mission of the game.
however, you have a valid suggestion there about the dream-team bit:

Everyone:please propose your dream-team for the mission.

my current operational basis:
A) NQT is scum
B) NQT was communicating to a scumbuddy.
C) either that scumbuddy was GriffPup, Nerjin, both, or Dariush. (currently leaning Dariush)
D) assuming Dariush is scum, there is one scum who was NOT on mission. (currently leaning Tiruin/Sheep)
E) I am town, have total control of who goes on mission, and this is effectively the last mission of the game.
F) We can sideline 4 people. I insist that one of those 4 be NQT.

Have I been clear?

Me, GD, Nerjin, Tiruin.

Also, tone it down with the bragging. You didn't deserve this 'complete power'. Hell, you shouldn't even get this, since last game there were four days per week. You are getting (more) annoying (than usual, which is saying a lot).

PFP We either vote for a team or fission mailed. Its like the Argo all over again, without the Golden Fleece.

Stupid Scylla and Charybdis.

@Lenglon. You pulled on my heartstrings and played them like a violin. I'm deeply emotionally affected by that tidbit you pulled off..and I blame Remuthra for soiling up your name--otherwise, you would've played a good day game.

ANYWAY, for brevity's sake:

> Whether Lenglon is town or not will depend (and I state such as she seems stone-cold on having herself in the team) on the team at question. And the preferred result.

> Since she's advocating herself as town, what about prod and poke at those who she has rejected? As Holmes has said himself on the matters of rejecting ideas, non-verbatim, it is the most impossible ones which fit the puzzle if everything else has been tried.

...Yeah this is me forwarding the notion of me/Dar/TWS being town, from her PoV.

Because it would be quite silly seeing that whole team as of current note fully town >.>

Second: We've got time pressure. It's neutral here.

Why?

Time works against us, and against Lenglon herself. As our will forms the mission, she must comply. As the status quo dictates, and spies would be fools themselves to defend it (or make a really compelling case), the team must be passed and finalized before..

...Err.

...Birdy, you didn't set a hard timer. you and your hard timer.

Oh, and on that note Lenglon, what can you say about the two people who has approved TWS' mission?

Everyone:please propose your dream-team for the mission.

> Dariush
> The Griffin-bros.

> Myself (lowest priority)...though I'm unsure about griffinpup given his case against Dariush. >_> Pokes about lurking..however Dar is on another timezone and usually doesn't lurk when Mafia games are on (town or scum). All that I got on the top of my head now.

Re-read. Glad Monday = no uni. Must learn how to organize time in 3rd yr college.

Lenglon: So tell me, is stubbornness faring well for you? Will you not, as you said, think about others and their viewpoints as opposed to yours? You've that I.D. card which only you know. Something which you can't persuade us all (counterfeit/forged ID blah blah IC stuff) on the matter given how things worked out before.

Tiruin points at the stack of tape recorders.

Those work. Mostly against you here.

Are you up for changing the team, or will you let yourself go in favor of the group choice?

Oh, and on that note Lenglon, what can you say about the two people who has approved TWS' mission?
Those two people were Me and Sheep. analyzing me is pointless, analyzing Sheep is not.
without looking back, Sheep doesn't seem all that scummy. My swapping him for Nerjin in the planned team roster was because Dariush seems scummier than ever to me right now, and you seem less so. so I'm covering my bases as too which one of NQT's scumbuddies I'm least sure of. I'm going to be doing the classic last-day-re-read later on today or possibly tomorrow.

Everyone:please propose your dream-team for the mission.

Hmm, you don't like the reasons people don't like Dar. What are they saying and why is it flawed?

Lenglon: So tell me, is stubbornness faring well for you? Will you not, as you said, think about others and their viewpoints as opposed to yours? You've that I.D. card which only you know. I'm staying on it because this is the last day, and being right is more important than being popular. I know my own alignment, I only have guesses for anyone else, no matter how strong or weak those guesses may be.

EBWOP: Why are you [Lenglon] so adverse to letting opinions flow anyway, and adding yourself to the team instead of anyone else?
quite simply, because a lot of people are basing their logic on me being scum. this is a waste of their energy, and of mine defending against it. If people want to argue that I'm scum, I'm fine with it after this mission. the point will be moot by then anyway.

eh, the above question to Tiruin was messed up slightly. I didn't label it, and looking back it was pointless. however I also thought up a new one while I was at it.

oh, and regarding the team sheep proposed being voted down. I noticed that the scum had to have voted it down too. doesn't mean much though.

Tiruin, if you think NQT is a spy for communicating, then he had to be communicating to someone. that someone was either Nerjin, Griffpup, or Dariush. I am confirmed town today. which of those three do you think he was communicating with, and why is that person on your list of people to send on mission?

Mod:
If this team is not approved, then we proceed to Day Four and the Mission will counted as a failure.
In the previous game, the team was autoapproved without voting, and that approach seems way more sensible than just autofailing.

I shall stand by my decision to make the third mission an auto-failure if no team is decided upon. After the game is over, this decision can be discussed.
