What do the numbers on the inventory items mean?

The numbers represent the quantity. I might make them a different color though so they stand out more. Max quantity is 999 but again this might change in the future.

Something about that map just makes it insanely sexy :\

Are they going to be static or generated?

Hah thanks o.O

Maps are static but I intend to continue adding them. Aside from this its JavaScript so people are free to mod in maps if they know how.

Ah. I figured they might be, but since you have dozens of Rock at different quantities in your inventory I wasn't quite sure.

Yup ;D.

Quick Update, just fixed up a game over view doc for new comers which hopefully will allow people to fully understand what Kuruko is all about and my vision for the future!

Overview

Kuruko is a sandbox indie game developed by British programmer Sean “Nytician” Tipping. You are an entity whose objective is to explore and enhance the world of Kuruko; a self-aware computer program. Current features include; exploring, mining, farming, cooking and constructing projects.

K-Gen & Entities

Everything you do in Kuruko requires a resource called K-Gen which is automatically generated at a rate of one K-Gen per second. You are required to look after your entity by keeping its intake and contentment needs above a certain level; in the event of failure to look after these needs your entity will slow down and finally refuse to function resulting in the deletion of your world.

Exploration Pods

The world of Kuruko is split into locales called ‘Pods’ which contain a variety of resources, injections and natural areas of interest. New Pods are unlocked through the Pod research lab which you can build as you progress. Pods also give access to the project array.

The Project Array

The majority of Pods give access to the Project Array. In the Project array you will see a list of all the projects you have completed. You can also find the ‘construct’ icon which will display all unlocked projects that you can complete. Each project will enhance your world and provide you with new features and management options.

Skills

As you construct Projects you will gain a variety of skills which will in turn unlock new features. Skills add depth to the world and allow you to try new things and add another element of progression to your entity. Kreation, Gathering, Cooking and Production are just a few of the skills available to improve in Kuruko.

Injections

The world of Kuruko contains ‘injections’ which are programmed to provide a variety of unique scenarios. Injections appear and disappear randomly and generally only stay around for a short period of time. Rich rewards can result from completing an injection if you manage to access one.
