What are these plentiful smaller airships you're talking about?

Maybe fishy man can try to swim through the storm?
MAYBE I WILL!

Small ships designed for inter-ship parting, and landing when you don't want to stop the whole aircraft.

Some have private dining boats.

Are they on or off-board, and do they descend more quickly than the full airship?

Are there parachutes/other safety devises, and if not, WHY ISN'T OSHA DOING THEIR JOB?!

Scrolling back to see if 'safety procedures' were mentioned.

Alrighty, 'emergency positions' eh? Sounds like a plan, they knew what they were doing when they wrote those.

They will descend more quickly, and they are belowdecks where they can be pushed offboard easily.

Yeah, somewhere. I'd say ask a crewmember but the closest one is running like a little bitch and therefore disinclined to help you. You'll note he isn't running towards some "emergency position" that you know of, but towards said craft.

He's broken! Broken seamen lose their discipline, & seamen who lose their discipline in the midst of an emergency die!

Pst, for the record, which side of the ship is the storm going to hit first, and can I get a guestimated ETA?

Yay to alchemy :) Because it sucks to have no magic abilities in party of mages

Jewel doesn't take reduced damage to falling sadly. Something I'll fix for later, but right now I don't think him just walking off would be a good idea. So small craft it is!

No reduced falling damage simply for being made of rock which is not likely to be damaged by the fall?

I'm not saying it wouldn't make sense to take reduced damage from a fall; I'm just saying that by his virtue it doesn't specify fall damage as something that's halved, and I think it counts as bludgeoning anyhow. I'll work on making him immune to bludgeoning damage eventually, thus atmospheric entries and all that.

A) Isn't the earth technically bludgeoning?

B) Ross seems to base his game heavily in reality, so it's worth a shot.

Jewel takes half damage from: anything physical that isn't bludgeoning, non-specific poison, non-specific disease, bleeding. Some caveats exist, such as picks or similar excavation tools.

I'm guessing falling would fall under bludgeoning, so I'm figuring that falling wouldn't be the greatest idea ever. Even if he's wearing very heavy armor currently, I think he is, the fall would be rather deadly if at a great enough height. Falling into water would be a mixed blessing due to the whole 'can't swim 'cause I'm a rock' fault.

It's something I'd want confirmed by Ross before chancing it, possibly even then. Just tumbling off the deck of an airship while it's very high in the air, even if you'd take half damage, sounds like a terribly bad idea.

EDIT: Next feat he gets, I'll probably factor some fall damage reduction into it.

Well, does he need to breathe?

Also, I think you're all forgetting something important.

Yes, Jewel does indeed need to breathe. One of the main reasons his critical fault is, in fact, critical.

Anyway, I'm thinking either magic feather fall, or air lifeboat. Or both.

If all else fails, I could try to call on MAGIC KNOWLEDGE POWER for a solution.
