Person: clarification for you -- proposals are numbered from 300, rules are numbered from 200.
<smartass>I'd like to point out that we actually do that by tradition and that rule 108 explicitly states we should do otherwise.</smartass> But let's not change it, since it will throw our entire game off.

<smarterasser> Actually, rule 108 only deals with the numbering of proposals, re-enacting old rules, and ammendments to rules. </smarterasser>

<Intelligentbottom>While it might only imply that rules get the same numbers as proposals, we're definitely not following the instructions on amendments (of which that have thus far been 2) <Intelligentbottom>

Touche, though I think it's a silly rule for ammendments.

I agree with this. Also, anyone else think the proposals should be one a day instead of two a day? Or would that cause proposal overload since they're only passed/denied every 2 days. Anyway, I just figured it'd get more people to post. I've already used my proposal for a bit longer anyway so I can't attempt to pass that.

Oh wait, I haven't used it up. I should check that more often. It's apparently been 5-6 days since I've done anything. Aright then. Time flies. Everyone else should probably check when they last proposed something too.

Proposal: Change 201 to "Any player may propose one rule-change per day by posting their proposal in this thread."

i'll be For that proposal if you change the wording to 24 hours, rather than day -- day is ambiguous.

Hell if I know.  Pretty humourous suggestion, but utterly useless in the case of roleplaying, if indeed the whole game world was one whole huge ass field of fruit.

So, do I just write down the amended version then? That doesn't actually count as a new proposal right? Still slightly confused how this works. If so....

I don't think that there are any official ways to deal with it. Now that I've started just processing things every two days, I'll just take your latest proposal/amendment to a proposal and use that for now.

Tally time! (Completed!)

All players lose 3 money (because I can't count days. :( )

Quinn, Tim, Scelly, Sensei, Andy_T_Roo, RAM, Person, a1s all gain 5 money.

Quote
The following voters are designated as "pillars of the community" and shall receive a grant of 20 money upon this proposal passing:

Unless otherwise specified by criminal legislation, guiltiness of this crime is decided by the judge defined by rule 117.

Votes: Yes - a1s; No - QuinnR, Timferius, Scully9, Sensei, andy_t_roo, RAM, Person

Fails after reaching quorum. Money is awarded.

Against 333. Simply because I don't mind the slower pace of law adoptions (and not at all because it would make more copying and pasting for me, no no :P Not a big deal if it is passed though.)

For 330 foes with 328.For 331 and 333, given a vote for a proposal needs a number, things could time out if they are proposed straight after quinnr tallies the votes.
For 332. If enacted I hereby GIVE all eligible players 20/N Money. (Since eligible players must vote, so the list of players receiving money are all those who vote on the proposal in either direction)

For 329, It's the first step to madness.

Proposal: All proposals which would receive an odd or even number can only be proposed in posts with a matching odd or even date, according to their local timestamp (as recorded in the "Location" field of their user profile). Each new proposal receives a number 1 higher than the previous one, according to the order posted in this thread.
eg: this proposal would be 334, 1 higher than proposal 333.

practical ramifications: decreased rate of proposal generation, unless you want to risk being caught committing a crime (catching violation of this rule takes effort, as people have to work out what the time was in your timezone when you posted),

Anyone want me to amend this proposal to say "prime/non-prime" rather than odd-even?

329 - Against
330 - For
331 - For
332 - Against I just can't vote for it.
333 - Against I like how relaxed this game is, and it'll get too cluttered to fast with the way things are going.
