Yeah that the only thing bad about it.

The other thing bad about it is that sometimes the boarders on a location is insane. Suffice it to say the boarders you see in the game are not the actual boarders of a location.

I know the number spot are gate things that take you to the planes and the boats/fleets take you pretty far.

I'd advise against it. Rollbacks are always a hassle, and missing one turn is not going to change much this early.
