I was able to take a place on my 2nd turn nice and I got a random event that put my capital defences to 45

Oh man oh man.  I got the llamaserver call due to having played some 5 years ago, went on it, and was thrilled to discover that there were games originating from Bay12.  I look forwards to the next time a game is hosted from here.

   Yeah, you just have to keep watch on the current game threads and you will hear about the next round quickly that way. You might have to wait a little while for a new game to start up though you might be able to sub in one of the current round if thats your thing. Though the Palazzoian Juggernaut seems like he might be able to end round 13 relatively quickly and if that ends or at least if I die there I will probably host another game. I don't know the age though probably not MA as round 14 is that though it will depend on what the people want as I don't care either way as I will probably end up playing Tien Chi again as its basically my thing at this point.

Yeah the map can be very weird in terms of where you can start off.

Some factions can end up in extremely remote areas (a few start off in the planes).

Because of the nature of this map, it is everyone's job to destroy Ermor if this is a late age map. They spin out of control rather quickly if left undisturbed.

Huh I start out need 2 people good thing there only one way into my Island besides the planes and water ofc going to fortify that spot like crazy then expanded into the planes maybe

   If your worried about the speed it will probably slow down soon enough. Everyone should be meeting multiple people now and have larger domains to manage.
