Evil drow bug has been noted, as has the fix. Something to do with a broken tag (an item/tool/reaction or something. Forgotten it now)

Platinum souls are a Masterwork feature.  I forget exactly how you get them... by killing megabeasts, perhaps?


Yea, you get those by killing those, plus by collecting soul parts from warlock trinkets.

In 3b  I'm getting a world gen error at placing civilizations. In an otherwise fresh install with a default launcher, adding evil drow seems to the reason.

There is a mistype in 'sound the omnious horn' reaction in the tavern in reaction_masterwork.txt. Should be 'ominous'.

Possible bug (just occured to me) For all of those megabeasts whom you've given the spheres (so as to be worshipped as deities) don't certain spheres cancel others out? For instance, the same megabeast has both the water and fire sphere. Also dwarves will never worship a creature who has spheres opposite their own, even if they share similar spheres.

So... the antmen had a butchered megabeast corpse?  ???

Thing is, I don't think the antmen should have access to that reaction... very strange.

Actually, there are two platinum souls around that spot...the mystery deepens.

I got curious in the first place, because I never heard of dwarves/caravans entering in one of the caverns. They didn't, and the notification coordinate must have glitched, but it's still strange to find a soul there. I suppose it's possible that antments killed an FB or two around that spot in the past 22 years this fort has witnessed. Should I go looking around in that cavern for a friendly named antman? Do they stay for a long time on the map?

I think someone mentioned them being part of the Kobold Mod? My brain could be making that up though.

Thank you so much. It works as it should now, resulting in instantaneous burning of enemies.

Where do we apply said hotfix? I might have to stop avoiding explosive ammo.

The RAWS contain a file plant_tree.txt which is supposed to be the plant_trees_ff.txt file.
Leaving the plant_tree.txt file in place causes various other trees to grow and is confusing as hell when you start seeing acorns and what not.

Delete the plant_tree.txt file and use the button in the launcher to add them back in as part of the plant_trees_ff.txt file.  (REGEN world)

Give a dwarf a Fishpond, couple of buckets, build a Fishery, and enable Fishfarming labor; you feed him for a lifetime. (And get someone to clean and prep the fish)

For some reason whenever I try to generate a new world the game freezes and windows tells me that it's stopped working at about the time when it's spawning civs. Thoughts?

This should fix it:
Can someone who gets the crash repeatably please try the following

in the file 'entity_drow_evil.txt' find around line 88:
[WEAPON:ITEM_TOOL_CODEX_BLADEMASTER:FORCED]
(which is incorrect, a mistake on my part)

and either replace it with:
[WEAPON:ITEM_WEAPON_BLADEMASTER_ARMS:FORCED]
or simply delete the line

Once I do this i get no more crashes. 
The only reason I'm not confident it's the fix is that it is strange how intermittent it was before for me.  But, please someone else try it and we'll go from there

Unfortunately it did not work for me.

My savedgame still loads maybe once every ten tries or so. Then when it loads eventually, it works fine.
