OP updated. Theres a new role. No one needs to become that new one, as I can always just fill empty slots with NPCs or mooks, but it would be nice if someone went for it.

I'm going to keep my role.  The race seems to be suited for it.

Yes, he is rather important, but everyone wants to be one of the Downmen mooks. :P

Actually, they wanted to be stokers:
Pre-ninja Character total count, by role
2 helmsmen
2 downmen
3 stokers
1 engineer
0 deckmen

As of [hour]:18:17, it was the following:

2x Helmsman
2x Stoker
2x Downman
1x Deckman
1x Engineer

So fairly balanced, really.

The men groan as Nico and the Chief Stokers finish pulling open the hangar door. The new ship is small, only about forty metres from nose to tail, far tinier than any of you would have liked. The hull is pocked and scarred by passing debris, and the heat shields and armour plating have been torn away by what looks like tens of thousands of sloppy reentries. The actual shape is sleek and angular, flat with plenty of hard points for mounting weapons, though most of them have been reduced to lumps of twisted metal from the sheer amount of impacts it had sustained. Captain Valten had found it floating through the cloud of spaced junk orbiting New Atropos. It was a lucky find, truly, but nothing compared to the old vessel you had once wandered the stars in.

Crixon walks up to the exterior hatch and pulls it open, peering inside. Well.. Its not much.. But at least we'll be able to get back on our feet. The crew mutters an agreement.

Say, it could use a name. What should we call it?

Stepping inside the open doorway, Crixon turns to face the rest of the crew, "I think, based on the shape of it alone, that we christen the ship "The Survivor"."

"Hmmm. The shape this ship is in, you'd have expected it to be completely destroyed, but it held together somehow... Let's call her the 'Endurance'."

"Yes. Endurance is a fine name for a ship."

Changing my vote to move things along.
