PTW Post!

...I've unfortunately been unable to catch up consistently with the series and a few days ago, I was able to watch (one of the handful of episodes I could) S06E05, and I'm thoroughly confused ._. Piecing together the ideas, until what episode is time traveling-ish explained? (So I can get the future/past connection...in the least D:)

What have I been missing all this timezones stopped by bad schedules in my area :-X

We don't know for sure yet. Bran can see the past and it's now been made explicitly clear that he can influence it too. The explanation I've liked most is that he can basically give people prophecies/premonitions as we've already seen on the show - he accidentally blasted Hodor with an intense vision of the future and broke his mind.

I guess if it's shown that people can see the future that already means that the future can affect the past.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

One hint about how influencing the past works is the phrase "The past is already written, the ink is dry" from the trailer. All along Hodor was a sign that Bran would inevitably fail.

Sidenote: it has been particularily funny to see non english dubs of GoT try to get the untranslatable play of words through. Attempts range from the lame to the asinine

Yes. The latinamerican version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R3LtRlkmVWg

"Dejalo cerrado! Dejalo cerrado! Calorrado! Hodorrr Hodorrr!"

("Keep it closed! Keep it closed! Keep it closed! Hodorrrr! Hodorrrrrr!")

Not that the Spanish version is much better with "Aguanta el porton! Porton! Hodorr! Hodorrr!" (no video of this one, unfortunately. Everyone was already making too much fun of the "calorrado" one to bother)

TBH it's not the translator's fault, either of them. There is simply no way to translate a play of words. They just came with two different bullshit options

People are making so many boats these days that their chances of stumbling upon rowing Gendry skyrocket.
