in the books when the Tyrells decide enough is enough they swing by the city with around 15k men led by Randyll Tarly and pretty much bully their way into making Mace hand of the king - margaery's trial is basically a formality since Tyrell swords now are basically everywhere in the city.
Loras meanwhile was never in there, but whatever I don't care anymore.

Honestly the worst thing about this season - other than the entirety of Dorne because it was pointless bullshit filler - was Ramsay becoming a god.

Soon Ramsay will effortlessly tame all three dragons, break the wall down to let the smug walkers in, only to kill the smug walkers and become Ramsay King Snow of the smug walkers.

Pretty much. It's not even like they show you him being a bad ass. 20GOODMEN looked like magic to me as easily as anything else, post-battle of Stannis you see him killing helpless cripples. I would be ok with the Ramsay power trip if there was any reason to believe it. But there's not. You just get that sick smile and some condescending dialog.

It would make sense that the only reason Melisandre goes back to Castle Black is so she can be there when snow gets murdered. As for Ollie? The kid whose parents were killed by raiders, who killed Jon Snow's love (even though she was about to kill him, sorta), and who now has helped kill Jon Snow.....kid has killed more people by age 10 or w/e and seen more death than some adult main characters.

I don't swallow either Jon or Stannis are dead.

I do think that sooner or later both in the series and in the books, Stannis is going to fulfill that book!prophecy which suggests he's a false messiah

If Jon gets brought back I can only see it as being Mellie's pet, which if that were the case, I'd rather he stay dead.

I do agree that anyone who knew or cared about the WW is now dead. Not really looking forward to fall out of the Night's Watch turning on the Wildings either, I'm sure that will make for some incredibly unpleasant scenes.

Unless they just get on with with it since all those characters only had a point because of Jon Snow's involvement with them. Maybe they'll just fritter off into the North. But it wouldn't be like GoT to skip a chance to show someone getting brutalized/maimed/murdered/raped.

They only kill Jon Snow after he tries to raise an army of wildlings and brothers to walk south on Winterfell. It makes the decision to kill much more understandable and less "durr durr, we racist no like wildlings".
