Hell naw. In the video games pre-promotes are basically EXP-sinks. They must fulfill the same function in this game :D

I am following the EXP list to the letter in regards to the prepromos.
And wouldn't you say they are over 10 levels higher and clearly stronger against the brigands?
And don't worry. Any enemy reinforcements will be much easier to kill.

My suggestion:

After you guys kill everything in the immediate area (limiting potential danger of dying instantly), use the pre-promotes to weaken individual bad guys and then have the PCs finish them off.

To minimize those risks:

Take away their OP weapons and give them shitty trainee weapons until the bandits are weakened. Alternatively, use the three pre-promotes as an unarmed wall and wail on the bandits with ranged weapons/melee weapons, as applicable.

Great.  I nominate you to go tell our commanding officer and his two most senior lieutenants that we want to take his weapons so that he can go sit in front of us and soak up hits like a meatsponge while using our own mass-produced trainee equipment. :P

Also I would like to see at least one valid action before tomorrow, else I might get bored. Edit: Valid Action Get!
But yeah, I have no axe-using reinforcements in mind, and a large chunk of axe users are dead this turn. Killing stuff should not be a huge problem.
I will try to strategically place the prepromos to allow to to eventually kill the boss on your lonesome too! The way I'm treating it (Boss EXP combines with normal kill EXP) that's 40~ Exp right there, so not much killing actually needs to be done by you.
The prepromos will also be killing stuff MUCH closer to their level in chapter 1 anyways, so you're gonna get some more EXP there too.

I'm guessing there's not a lot of valid actions up because most of the PCs really don't have much to do this turn. Everyone with a ranged attack might want a free hit on our soon-to-be-dead bandits, there's still some risk there in that our babysitters might miss and then they'll be on the frontlines. Our swordsperson might want to take a crack at them, depending on whether they value experience or hp more, but most everyone else is probably going to want to maneuver or pass, let the big guys one-shot the closest axemen, and then get strategic from there.

Pretty much.  To metagame a bit, I can heal up Ramena if she swings at a bandit, assuming the bandit connects (17 ATK - 3 DEF - 1 Triangle = 14, same amount as I heal), but any more than that, and we'll be in trouble if the dice don't go our allies' way.
