N

inspect each weaponry pod in turn, avoid estimated lines of fire from each pod that is either active or has an unknown status.

>Estimate firing arcs
>Scan.Distant
Pod NE...ok (relatively)
Downed Pod SE...shattered
Pod NW...structurally unsound, but likely intact.
Pod SW...destroyed
>Archeological analysis
Observer not equipped for archeology. Materials scan stored for satellite analysis.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Return to Satellite, and launch rover to 13,2. Lets not lose our stuff by delving too deep. We can come back soon, but lets not walk straight into a deathtrap.

estimate fireing arcs of pods NW and NE.
calculate approach path to pod NW that does not pass through fireing arcs
estimate equipment requirements to detach pod NW and return it to satelite for detailed analysis.

>Return
Obs_Alpha initiating return rockets.

Retrieved samples:
Atmospheric sample
Dirt sample
Dense lightning-struck rock
Small rodent-like (stunned)
Coolant-holding living plant
Dead irradiated burst plant
Stored in Satellite.
Scan data added to overall map. Materials scan uploaded for archeological analysis.
>Rover Launch, 13,2
Shifting Observer back...ok
Rover launched to coordinates.

Checking all systems......alright.
Roveris Alpheris good to go!

Query: Existing power storage; Power storage blueprints

((It's unlikely that our satellite hasn't got any batteries, as that would make it extremely hard to survive the voyage, or even to remain operating when passing behind a planet

With some expansion, this would allow us to do high tier refining without enormous investments in generators.))

>Query:Power.Storage
Power capacity at 100% (fluctuating with orbit). Storage at 70% with minimal complications, primarily from heavily damaged harddrive's erratic power draw. Power circuitry optimal and running at maximum speed, with the exception of manufacturing which requires higher sustained input to reach full power.

(The problem is in the conduits, not necessarily in generation or storage; though improving all three won't hurt anything)

((The Alpha Strike mode is going to fry a proportionate amount of circuits whether or not they're upgraded, you're more or less shoving the equivalent of 20-30 already high-powered shots into one burst (per shot) with not a fuck given for the maximum capacity of the conduits and hoping the ship doesn't run out of routes to power the cannons before the drastic enemy runs out of ship))

But if we replace all the circuits with upgraded ones, we can keep the olds as spared. Ie backup circuits to be used after the strike.

((I wonder if I could fit xenonauts in here somehow, the game certainly is distracting when its not as buggy as it used to be. :) Anyway, onwards.))

>Disable primary drive
Primary drive already in standby mode.
>Upgrade circuits
Better conductive materials required. Detected asteroids do not contain them.
>Scan.Collected
Atmosphere: Mainly Oxygen. Not much else.
Dirt: Nothing in particular worth noting, besides the unusual lack of notability. Dumped.
Lightning rock: Superb electrical attractor, terrible conductor.
Dead plant: Multiple puncture wounds detected inside of the burst region. Otherwise is slowly leaking the previously contained UV and X-ray energy.
Live plant: Fluid analyzed, determined to be identical to base liquid of coolant mix. Life-support in floric storage reactivated, planted. Directive sent to rover for quantity.
Rodent: analysis indicates confusion in non-grav enviroment. Observatory gravity subsystem powered for limited time; lifeform will have to adapt after report completion until power generation is greater than inefficiency produced by power drain into partial gravity system. Report being generated slowly.

Receiving new data from orbit.................ok
Objective acquired: Obtain additional Coolant Base plants. Added into priorities queue along with others.
>2,5
>1,8
>Scan.POIs
Heading towards coordinates.

2,5 POI: Small tower. Made of rock, recently maintained.
1,8 region POI: Small village. Stealth system changed from passive to active mode. Reminder of lesser stealth capability compared to observer craft. Village appears empty currently. Minimal metals detected.
