Oh, I see.  Sorry.  So, when yiu suggested charging them 500% of our expenses, you meant that in the sense that you were limiting it to that much?  So we won't charge as much as we possibly can, but instead be a bit more... Kind?
Well, whatever we do, we won't have much more than a day to do it in, apparently.  First things forst-  get our paycheck.

"Alright let us head to this meeting Cyphus, Granite, Lilian take the deckhands on and prep the ship for transporting people, and battle if we must enter it. Ensure that any last minute repairs possible are done, and get the men armed with what weapons we have, we have a job to do."

You say as you split away from the group with Cyphus and his guards, while your crew heads for the closest door Cyphus leads you towards a pair of rusty looking airlocks far in the back of the repair bay. You pass dozens of workers as they work frantically at repairing the damaged freighter, some go about welding heavy metal plates in place over the damage done by the Scavs, while the rest take pick and drill and laser to the asteroid lodged in the ship's airlock. 'Do they actually intend to save that before the Marauders reach this place?' you think as the first set of blast doors hisses open before you, taking a step inside you notice out of the corner of your eye as more men come streaming in carrying crates, fuel canisters, and ... and even weapons. Sometimes sacrifices are necessary ...

With that you turn away from the men in the repair bay, and the doors snap shut behind you concealing what you can only think to be martyrs. Pushing those thoughts aside you focus on the task at hand, and after a few more moments of walking you come to a door with four miners wielding near pristine condition laser rifles. As they see you approach one of them gives a nod to Cyphus as he says,

"Cyphus good to see ya' the others are in there planning what to do along with every captain who has a ship stationed in the dock they could get, they've been waiting for ya."

He smiles back, thanks the man for his words, and signals for the twins to stay outside as you follow him into the room gaining a few odd glances from the guards to either side of the door. The room you enter is rather spacious with the gritty metal walls of the earlier hallways replaced by smooth black rock, a half circle of tiered seats rises before you with a large holo-display in the very center of the room itself. Gathered around the table are about a dozen men, roughly half of them have pale white beards and little to no hair yet still bear a body befitting a miner.

The rest of them are an assortment of people, one of them even being the blue skinned, bald, and three-eyed race of Telminars who have been rumored to have gone into exile in the temples of their worlds. As you enter the room all talk falls to silence and you find all eyes on you and Cyphus as you walk to the edge of the holodisplay nearest the door, you make note of the fact that the Telminar keeps his gaze focused on you the entire time. Cyphus is the first to break the silence,

"This man here is one John Roberts, Captain of the Lazarus and the reason we even knew about the Warhost that is bearing down on us as we speak, he's even volunteered to help with the evacuation process. Of course such a fine man deserves payment for the job and helping us eva..."

Cyphus is suddenly cut-off as one of the old miners breaks in cursing, even reaching for the gun at his waist as he speaks,

"Lives are at stake and the bastard has the nerve to ask for payment, I'll give you payment in form of a damn bullet in the middle of your worthless skull if that's what you want."

With that the man pulls the pistol from its holster and goes to aim it for your hand until suddenly one of the other miners, the one who seems to be the oldest as he has to use the holo-display as support, puts his hand across the top of the gun and pushes it back down. Everyone stands still, and the room fills with silence as the wait for the man to speak however he remains staring at the holo-display which now shows a red blip moving on the edge of it towards the center where a blue blip represents the station itself. When you move to break the silence yourself the grizzled miner speaks up,

"Fine, we will pay you for the job and your assistance in evacuating the people, five hundred credits up front along with the pay for the job and then three hundred when the evacuation is over. However the evacuation will not end until our people safely arrive at the destination so you must come along with the rest of the ships that leave and help escort us to the nearby UM occupied planet of Polaris. Does this sound acceptable?"

Anything you wanna specify to try and get? It'll make it easier for you to get something useful that way instead of having me do just pure rolls, and story control to decide what you get. On another note update coming tomorrow, and with that will come better formatted statuses and spoilers (at least they'll seem better formatted to me, might not appear so to you :c)

"Just the five hundred credits is fine, of course if there are any supplies you can give us that would be quite useful after all our ship wasn't made for combat so the armaments on it are quite lacking. Of course I understand if you can't spare any such things seeing as you are arming ships for dead men."

You say and watch as several people gathered around the holo-display begin to display confused looks, however the elder (you presume him to be the elder type here) narrows his eyes and glares at you clearly understanding what you mean. Pushing himself up from the display he speak,

"Cyphus see that this man gets his pay, and send him the heaviest ship based weapon you can find that will fit, also send along six of our men to help protect his ship should it be boarded. Everyone else but the Elders, you are dismissed."

With that you turn to leave, and notice Cyphus staying behind as you turn to say something he nods to you, and you understand his meaning for you to go on ahead. As you exit the door, and start walking down the hallway you are quickly stopped however ... by the Telminar,

"John Roberts was it? My name is Thulian Tyaka'Razhisa Benarias, you can call me Raz, I noticed your antics back there and you seem to be taking advantage of the situation to the best of your ability. However I should warn you that the Elder that planned to shoot you didn't like that very much, you may find that on your way back to your ship there are about a dozen rather fanatic miners who think your ship would be better off in that man's hands. Of course, I'd be willing to help you with that situation for a small fee, that being you hire me as a part of your crew and pay me thirty credits since I think you might find my unique set of skills ... useful."
