Like, for instance, we see or suspect a higher caste member of causing trouble, can we remove him or her from their location under the pretense of, say, ensuring their safety in these troubled times? I know that this theoretically prove necessary, but just in case, you know?"

"Didn't I already give you a bottle back on the ship? Well, I can give you another one - got plenty, really."

Hand Xan a bottle of Xeno Spit from personal stash.

Excellent. Is it flammable?

Excellent. Is it flammable?

"No idea. Unless it has an alcohol base, probably not. If you want something flammable, you should get the case of HMRC standard I brought here - almost pure ethanol, that stuff. Don't waste Xeno Spit that could be used for drinking or possibly inhalation, please."

[Xantalos]

I will take a case of that as well then.

[Harry Baldman]

"What, the entire case? What are you going to do with that much booze? You could fill that sprayer, like, five times with all the booze I've got. Bit inconvenient to carry around."

[Xantalos]

I just need enough to make a grenade by mixing the beer with the substance.

[Harry Baldman]

Stacy's jaw hangs open at the idea.

"You know, I like the way you think. Ethanol isn't explosive, though. It's just flammable, and enzymes don't survive high temperatures, so it should be kind of pointless to set Xeno Spit on fire. But sure, have a bottle of ethanol for your grenade-making pleasure. Don't use it on innocents, though - that'll cause more trouble than it will solve."

Addendum: hand Xan a bottle of standard booze as well.

Hmm. I was hoping to use it as a flamethrower, but I see that that idea is out.

[Harry Baldman]

""Well, ethanol's no good for a flamethrower, either. At least not in pure form. You should mix it with something thick and sticky, then you can actually throw flames, so to speak. Though if you've got a manipulator or better yet, an amp, you can make lots of flashy fireworks without a care in the world aside from your batteries running out or your brainmeats exploding into flames suddenly."

[Xantalos]

Eh. It should explode nicely, which is the point.

[Harry Baldman]

"I don't think it will, actually, not unless you hermetically seal the bottle and boil its contents. And even then it'd probably fail structurally in a specific point rather than explode entirely. Though that would create a nice flaming booze rocket you could throw down into a crowd. But maybe my interpretation of physics isn't quite correct."

I don't know. However, it will be fun finding out.
