We don't want to come off as petulant, so let's not go whining about this. Let's go to our sister and congratulate her on her coming nuptials. Tell her that we will always be there for her, even if she is in a distant land, and promise to visit her when she is settled in her new home.

Deciding you need to keep a level head you take up Ishvakala on his offer of tea, and dismiss the squire, thanking him for his assistance. Giving the matter some thought you decide to give your sister a visit and see how she is doing, you're sure she would have told you had she known. Politely thanking the shopkeeper you head to the palace.
When you get there you learn that your sister has dismissed all servants from her quarters and spent all day inside, not a good sign. You enter, and find her composed and dignified, save for puffy red eyes that she's tried to cover up with make-up as best as she can. You sit and speak with her, and she tells you that she learned just this morning what was being planned, she's supposed to leave within the fortnight. The prince is the ruler of a very prominent principality of Adalbert with quite a bit of political pull and military strength, marriage to him is being considered as a diplomatic consideration. She tells you that she has no wish to marry "the barbarian", but that she is taking heart from the fact that the marriage is not for certain, for all he wishes is to look her over before deciding. It hits you with a pang of sadness, you have little doubt that he will agree.

Scry who and/or what?
The "barbarian". We can learn exactly what's going on.

Also, lets go to give our sister our support.(switch court for foreign lands I guess). I have the feeling that any royal housing in Albert is warded, if nothing else, they explicitly have better magic than us.

We are very skilled at breaking magical resistances.

Maybe not move our court permanently, but certainly we can ask permission to summer (winter? don't know what season it is) at the new court of our favorite older sister. Make sure this barbarian king dude is not a jerk to her.

Currently it is the start of the warm season in a semi-tropical climate, further inland it gets much closer to warm temperate, and sees snow in the winter.

We should definitely be doing something to check on her, as her oldest male relative who has time and isn't disgraced.

You assure your sister that you will always be there for her, and that you will protect her as best as you can. Your display of affection brings her to tears, and you comfort her as best as you can before departing.
You waste no time, signalling Barick to follow silently behind you and petition for a private audience with the king. Strangely enough it is provided within the hour, and you are soon faced with a flushed and sweaty king in his private study. He seems impatient, so you get straight to the point. "Father, i know that your time is valuable, so i will be brief. I know of the arrangements to marry Ritalia off, i would like to be part of her escort. Frankly i know nothing of this man, and think we could all benefit from a personal encounter with him, the man may become my brother in all after all, i want to measure his weight."
Your father nods, "Fine, do what you like. You will prepare for your own arrangements however. Now leave me."

That went... surprisingly well, you expected more resistance than that, a more patronizing attitude, or at least some questions. Now that you are free to do what you like you briefly entertain the notion of scrying the prospective husband, but you are well aware such an action would be nearly impossible at your current skill level, and that an attempt could harm you. A relatively far-away place you've never been to? It's a recipe for disaster.

Barick suggests you call on some of your "friends" at court to give you a small number of the troops you have been promised early, some of the lands that you will need to travel through are rife with brigands.
You have nearly two weeks to prepare, what shall be done?

Oversee logistics and travel routes personally.  Take our stone-faced bodyguard's advice and gather a number of guards, make sure they are capable men, who won't betray us at the first opportunity.

Once all the preparations are done, then we are off.
