Blending probably results in:

Dwarf 1: Full-time Miner
Dwarf 2: Full-time Miner
Dwarf 3: Woodworker
Dwarf 4: Smith, Mechanic, Part-time Miner
Dwarf 5: Part-time Miner, Soldier, Teacher
Dwarf 6: Part-time Miner, Soldier, Teacher
Dwarf 7: ?? (probably broker/bookkeeper/manager/etc)

Food, including seeds and alcohol
Logs, at least 10 but likely closer to 20
Copper and tin ores
Picks, Anvil
Breeding pairs of various critters, including geese, cats, and dogs

Anything else, or should we strike the earth?

What should our soldiers be?
What other animals should we take?

Yes, these should indeed be our soldiers.

Everyone knows Alpaca are easy-mode as your soldiers... actually, that makes me want to mod my games so I can have Stray War Alpacas.  That s*** is hot.

I can't believe you would consider embarking without at least one Competent Cheesemaker.   :-\

And don't forget to bring some delicious turkeys.

Actually, you should bring some of these creatures <<shameless plug>>

So...bring turkeys and alpacas as well, make the military an axedwarf and a marksdwarf, and wish we could add new creatures to the raws after worldgen? Any objections?

Can I be the cheesemaker?
Also, have you decided to use my mod or not? It should still work.

Alright, the embark is all ready, everything set up. Some modifications had to be made for economical reasons, such as cost and a lack of cassiterite. Here are our fine dwarves:

Doren Rovodzes, Novice Miner. She likes pig tail fabric, rum, and whip flour. She dislikes risks, intellectual discussions, and worms.
Alath Lolokber, Novice Miner. He likes orangutans, strawberry wine, and making new friends. He dislikes boredom, disorganization, and people hogging the anchovies.
Stakud Vucaravabok, Proficient Carpenter, Adequate Bowyer and Woodcrafter, Novice Woodcutter. He likes linguistic puzzles, sewer brew, and routine. He dislikes the flu, spiders that jump, and poetry slams (if he has to participate).
Catten Kolvel, Adequate Mechanic, Novice Omnismith. She likes rose gold, anvils, and gauntlets. She dislikes flies, crowds, and poetry slams where she or Stakud participate.
Olon Ittasstukos, Adequate Axedwarf. He likes thrils, cassiterite, and two-humped camel cheese (only two-humped--he claims one-humped camel cheese is too "lumpy"). He dislikes brown recluses, word games, and compromises.
Tekkud Dastotilum, Adequate Marksdwarf. He likes showing off his strength, speed, and stamina, maces, and good wine. He dislikes risk, snails, and exertion.
Amost Amkolkikrost, Novice Stonecrafter, Novice Trader, Novice Bookie. He likes turkeys, poetry slams, and friends. He dislikes arguments, flies, and "those who let their minds wander into the clouds rather than keeping them in the caverns where something's trying to kill them."

I call Amost. Anyone else want dwarves? Perhaps Insanity wants Olon?

Anyways, before we worry about claiming dwarves, we need to do something very important. Two somethings.
1. WHAT will we name our fortress? (Game's Suggestion: Painthelms)
2. WHO is the group which settles it? (Game's Suggestion: The Banded Tomes)

-----

mastahcheese, I'll give you the first migrant if you remind me. And which mod were you thinking of?

Personally I'd like Olon, but if Insanity wants him I'll take Tekkud the marksdwarf.
