Slowpoke the Unaffiliated Politician
researches the Department of Defense. 3The Department of Defense is the number one department in both money allocated and of national importance, or so they say. Their budget is large because the military is very important against the Ramenian threat up north. Most of the money goes towards purchasing high-tech military weapons from Eagleland, while a good fraction pays for the mostly drafted army. The draft is a hot topic for the 20s age group. All men are drafted between the age of 19 and 26 and serve for roughly two years, without exception (except for physical disability). The problem is that the rich and the powerful often find ways to escape the draft, causing a feeling of relative unfairness.

2The black market of Yan is ... unknown. Probably because it's by nature black. What is traded is not known, but the amount of traded drugs is near zero. Perhaps someone who has connections in the black market could be bribed. A good example would be
4 your fellow Alphacrat Lee Sung, who is rumored to have quite good connections. Seeing that he's of the same party, he'll probably tell you what you want to know.
3 Scapheap prepares a rather mediocre bill about increasing the budget of the Space department.
1+2-2 The bill is not enough to convince any of the Techdemocrats to back it.

Alphacrat 6 researches who backs the Alphacrats. The third largest party in the Assembly, it often receives the short end of the stick in terms of supporters. Of course, that's better than receiving no stick at all (the other three political groups). Supporters include but are not limited to THN (an internet services site), KBC International Bank, and Thousand Eyes Telecommunications (the third largest mobile service provider, leaded by SYT and YTF). Only THN is the leader of its market, while the other two are less than the best.
4 0.2 SP is trained.
6 Polling the region he represents as a seat in the Assembly, what is wanted most is less of the large companies' tyranny. The largest companies in Yan, created when the other famous dictator Drive was in power. They often take liberties in their businesses, flouting the law and expanding into practically every industry there is, from transport to construction to heavy industry. Recently, they have decided to create super supermarkets which consequentially kill off the regional markets.
The hard part of this problem is that the large companies also are the most generous in their support. But then again, most of that support goes to the Betacrats...
Intelligentmoron the
Betacrat pays ₩12000 to the lawyer, bringing his funds down to ₩98000. A puppet corporation is established as a charity for orphans. (Write it in the character sheet, with funds as ₩0. I believe it is named The Patriots Fund?).
3+4-2 A meeting is arranged. Nearly fifty other Assembly members stare back at him as he outlines the quorum bill. Many heads nod, all generally agreeing that a nearly three hundred head quorum is just too much hassle.
However, he is outright laughed at when he proposes providing an amount that is around 50 times the budget of the entire Department of Defense budget to companies. The DoD has its own internal usages, and the Assembly can only set how much the DoD can use at the end of each year. It happens that the end of the year is one quarter from now.
Grek's Quorum Bill has moderate support within the Betacrat party.2+4-4 "
Isn't one billion too much?" one of the Betacrats says. "
The Department of Defense's budget is four hundred thousand (400,000,000). Preposterous."
Note: Write down actual numbers. They're much more clearer than words. You can tell because I actually had to look it up >.>6 He contacts a few journalists he knew from here and there, connections that the Betacrat party has, and people who know him as a senior. Pulling strings, he manages to only have to pay 5000₩ for a widespread media blitz.
The general population is moderately incensed against the Ramenians.

rp?1 The CEO looks at him long and hard. He starts laughing suddenly. "
Well, 25,000₩ isn't pocket money, you know. I can provide maybe 2000₩, considering the help your party has given us. But no more."

6 The Techdemocrats are seen as the underdogs fighting in the name of democracy in Yan, against the fat, lazy, corrupt Betacrats. The Techdemocrats are especially popular in the 20~30 age bracket. On the other hand, there are reports that the Techdemocrats are said to not have a strong leader...

Unaffiliated pays ₩12000 to hire lawyers.
4 He gains 0.2 strength from combat training.
3+1-1-1 He makes a speech to the Techdemocrats. Some of them seem to agree, but he makes a few mistakes in his presentation, and the pedantic bastards they are, they don't pledge much support.
The Techdemocrats weakly support Grek's Quorum Bill.3 The Ramenians are quite quiet these days. Rumors have that they are building something after their failed rocket launch, but nothing much is known. They used to have large scale facilities for nuclear fuel refinement, built from the tears and blood of the People of Ramenia, but those were closed.
Sammy the
Unaffiliated 1 doesn't realize that the pharmaceutical area is a tightly regulated industry. The lawyer he went to consult practically insults him, calling him an ignorant political figurehead and still taking ₩1000 in consulting fees. Apparently, pharmaceutical companies have to undergo strict quality tests and inspections before even being able to ship a single pill of aspirin.
Speech on what?2 Pandaland is a rising power. It used to be a devout follower of communism (and Ramenia's friend and ally) but it is slowly being turned aside by the siren call of capitalism. It doesn't like Eagleland.

Most of the people polled have no opinion whatsoever on most of the proposals. However, the Law on Increasing Corporate Taxes is cheered on. It proposes increasing the top three brackets of tax's tax rate by 1% each, and the bottom three by 0.5%.
Of course, the large corporations dislike this law and do not wish for it to be passed.
5 Betacrats are backed by Yan's largest corporations. The Techdemocrats receive most of the other support, and Alphacrats have backing, too. Whoever supports the Fembots and the Goblins is unknown.

Techdemocrat 1 finds that fundraising has to be actually advertised. Not one person donates to the Liber8 Yan fundraiser.
5 Privacy in Yan is practically unknown. Anyone can sign away their personal information rights by clicking a checkbox when they sign up to online sites, which also mandate inputting social security numbers, name, and sometimes phone numbers and home addresses. The privacy rating of Yan is 59th of around 200 countries. Quite bad. The government, however, is not allowed to spy on individuals without a warrent.
