The Empire you grew up in has been fading since before you were born. In truth, it has already fallen-though you do not know it yet.

The tales of great conquests and legendary heroes are figments of a forgotten past-as the Human Empire spread from it's home system and grew more wealthy, it also grew more decadent, and every age has been progressively worse than the one that came before...everyone agrees, it's time for a change.

But change is always painful.

You are perhaps, one of her last true defenders. A newly graduated Slipfighter pilot, you command a small subspace vessel of unmatched destructive potential. The Empire has increasingly relied on the heroic efforts of men and women such as yourself to respond to threats-subtle and cunning enemies who hit and fade before the ponderous big gun battleships and cruisers can even arrive.

Your first assignment, on board the small Advant class carrier, the I.S.S Tripoli, has been to be assigned to defend the Solartech Outpost-a small, yet tactically important Imperial base on the outer rim...

This is the end of an Age, and it has saved it's greatest heroes for last.

Quote from: Char Sheet

Pilot Name: They haven't changed much, even in the 24th century-though that doesnt mean 'star warsy' names arent common, either.
Callsign: Narcho, Crackerjack and Goose are not allowed. But now I'm hungry.
Bio: Optional. Consider the population of Earth has spread out, but its roots remain the same. Most large cities in our times became popular names for settlements-Planet New York is a big one. The lore is mostly unwritten, so feel free to be creative here and help me create the setting. At the very least why you became a pilot.
Skill Bonus: Choose a +1 to Piloting, Reflexes of Marksmanship. This will increase over time, as you gain experience.
Specialty: What are you really good at? This will be a small bonus to a specific  circumstance-like landing while damaged, peeling off an enemy whose hurt your friends, or fighting in an asteroid belt. Can apply to non-pilot situations as well.

Quote from: Combat System
Both combatants roll D10 + Ploting score. Then, depending on the difference between the higher and lower score...

1-3, tie, no shots
4-6, both get 1 shot
7-10, winning side gets 2 shots
10+ or more, winning side gets 3 shots at +1 to reflexes/marksmanship

Then, roll the shooters D10+reflexes roll vs the targets D10+reflexes roll for each shot.
-If the piloting roll is a tie or a one to three, reflexes are rolled for a free attack of opportunity which the loser must dodge separately. This opportunistic attack does 50% damage.
-If the defender beats or dodges all hostile shots without being hit, he takes a free attack of opportunity at least once a turn against that enemy, if he hasn't already attacked that turn.
-Obviously, if the attacked wins he hits with that attack.

On a hit, gun Damage is the weapons damage dice+Marksmanship, minus points in defense. Attacks against capital ships, stations or turrets and the like, use the bombing attribute in instead of marksmanship, and do percentage damage-a rough estimate of when a larger vessel will be destroyed or disabled.

Pilot Name: Elsa Kassal
Callsign: Money Honey
Bio: Elsa belonged to a rich family on a huge human planet, but one of the least rich of the upper class. They were always on the brink of falling into the middle class, and because of this Elsa found wealth and beaurocracy to be suffocating. She used what connections she had to become a pilot, where she could shoot down anyone above her rather than having to lose at political games.
Skill Bonus: +1 to Piloting
Specialty: Despite rejecting her status, she still knows how to interact with the upper classes.

-1 to follow instructions  :P
Also reserve

Pilot Name: Auron Kell
Call sign: Iron sight
Bio: Auron hails from a long line of Australian asteroid miners and his family owns a sizable mining operation operating out of New Adelaide's extensive asteroid belt which supplies and refines enough raw material each year to construct a frigate class cruiser.

Ever since Auron was a child he wanted to see the galaxy and was fascinated by the tales of the full scale space battles of old, as he grew older he met a retired I.S.S. captain in a bar on the planet and while the mans bitter recollections utterly destroyed Aurons illusions about the glory of war the man could not take from him the desire to see the galaxy or the thrill he felt when piloting a spacecraft.

when Auron turned 21 the asteroid belt his family had mined for generations was all but depleted of useable ore and within a decade nothing would be left but rock, seeing this problem his family were forced to slow their mining efforts in an attempt to extend the time they had to find another unclaimed source of ore and as a result needed to lay off a small portion of their workforce to keep expenditures down.
Upon hearing this news Auron decided that he would not stand between one of his families employees and the ability to feed their family and joined the I.S.S as a mechanic to spare one lucky soul from losing his job.

Auron was happy for a time repairing ships in the new Idaho shipyard and was soon transferred to the Tripoli, this however gave rise to some emotional troubles as while he was elated that he was finally getting to travel the galaxy like he always wanted his constant workload and highly infrequent leave opportunities began to make him feel trapped when viewing the Tripoli's surroundings from the observation decks and hangar bays.
after a few months of constant emotional torment he applied to become a pilot and was rather surprised when he was accepted. During his training he displayed an almost instinctual aptitude for the weapon systems used on the slip fighters
and could even manage to hit his opponents in simulated combat scenarios before the targeting computer managed to acquire a target lock which in turn gave rise to his call sign.

Appearance: Auron is a 23 year old white male with dark brown hair and hazel eyes, he is six feet and four inches tall with an athletic build.
Skill Bonus: Marksmanship
Specialty:  Navigating/fighting in asteroid belts/fields

okay its kinda done, im not 100% happy with it but at least its something

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Pilot Name: Jack Dark
Callsign: Night
Bio: Jack was always a... Troubled child. He was always bullied by other kids, picked out by the teachers, and the like, mainly due to his dream to become evil one day. He tried to be evil, but just couldn't do it. Whatever he'd do wrong he'd help right, thus making him a 'Goody two shoes' in the eyes of other people. His parents never did help either, being rather poor and unable to care for him as a son. So eventually, he vowed that one day, he'd change. He'd actually do evil stuff for a change. He decided to start by running away from home and stealing a ship at 18. He eventually returned it, but not before catching the empire's eye with his piloting. He spent two years training before eventually joining the empire, being lost and without a penny to his name. He did pretty well, and so the empire decided to recruit him for their new plan. He took this opportunity to name his Callsign something he'd always wanted to call himself as a villain, and set off, hoping to maybe do evil stuff while he's there.
Skill Bonus: +1 Piloting
Specialty: Whining to get what he wants. He's done this all his life, and definitely will not stop now.
((Sorry if this sucks, I'm tired and running low on battery.))
