Country of Origin: US
Didn't the OP say you had to be in one of the primarily affected areas?

Anyways...I assume you mean superhero name?

Anyways...out of the useful and notable "powers," there's controlling water and absorbing the traits of inorganic material. Controlling plants might be helpful sometimes, and the hard stomach could be useful...but dyslexia? Man, for a nerd that really sucks.
Let's see...what's a material often available in urban environments? Concrete or asphalt. Both of those are kinda stony. Also, water and plant control implies a certain level of control over the natural world. Overall, though, the pun isn't worth it.

Oh, look, the plot advanced while I was contemplating a name.

Supername: None for now. Fern, temporarily? Nah, that's kinda dumb if I want to keep a secret identity.
Age: 19
Costume: None for now.

Ah, so you are correct. Swore US was included in there, I'll just edit it to England then.

It's fine, it mostly effected those areas. The USA is acceptable.

Your fine.

Actually it would be better if you did change it to England because most of these guys are European.

Already changed to England, thanks for helping me get that worked out.

Name: Erin (it's a common enough name that without my last name it doesn't give anything away, and with my appearance i can't pass for a normal person anyway) if the PR person insists on a codename: Demon Girl (i expect in the press i'll be Demon Girl, but in the team i'll just be called Erin.)

Age: 19

Costume: Black T-shirt, a pair of black jeans, no emblems or symbols on either of them. the metal on the jeans lightly painted black so they are non-reflective. (she will want to upgrade this later)

Appearance <detailed>: 5'2", Dark red skin with solid black stripes in a tiger-like pattern across her body, a lizardlike, spaded tail that whips around behind her, a small pair of of pointed horns coming out of her forehead, and the two top incisors just before her molars are unusually long and pointed, along with a slight overbite, giving her the appearance of having a pair of fangs. she has bright red oval eyes, reminiscent of a cat's in shape. and short black hair. a pair of batlike wings extends from her back, black on the inside, the same dark red as her skin on the outside.

Actual Bio: Boring normal suburban kid with a bit of a smartass attitude. has hidden from family since the change. is actually quite an optimist and kind at heart. the kind of person who will drop everything they're doing to give first aid to a random stranger, and complain the entire time while doing it.

fly above attackers and survey situation, specifically check attackers for gold equipment
if no gold:
find the one that is the most potent threat, or alternately their leader, and dive-bomb him. attempt to use non-lethal force. AFTER landing say
"Going Down!"
if only one with gold:
same as above, but target the one with the gold weapon and dive from much higher up and at higher speed. disarm asap. go lethal until he has been disarmed. if i lose the element of surprise, get out of there.
if multiple with gold:
return to team, land, and report what i saw.
"Looks like they're expecting me, pass me a radio, i'll keep an eye on them from above."

EDIT: less stupid in case 3
EDIT2: added actual bio, tweaked case 2.
EDIT3: added appearance

...

Name: Hachnslay
Country of Origin: Germany
Bio:A Worker from a maintenance company. Sent to Estonia to work on a defective control system for a oil shale powered powerplant. He has been hiding in the the powerplant for some time now. It was right on the border to Russia. In Narva. (checking the city of Narva on google maps i found out that it actually has a powerplant ... the oil shale was an edit.)
Estonia was pretty cold this time of year, but when Hachnslay woke up, he couldn't feel the cold. Hachnslay felt his head, it was twice the size it normally was. When his boss yelled something in Estonian, Hachnslay could understand it better from the little bit of Estonian he had learned several days before. He decided to let the boss know where he was. He was about to open his mouth when his boss appeared right in front of him. "how did you find me?"
"I saw an image in my head of this place." Hachnslay realized he had become telepathic.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Name: Hachnslay (i will roleplay my(me?) character to have forgotten his original name, but remembering the username he used the most.)
Age:26
Costume Appearance: currently the fire resistant Personal Safety Equipment required to be worn in power plants His company made it a requirement to be highly visible , safety goggles, which hardly fit anymore and a white hardhat that is sitting loosely on top of his head. On his feet are metal capped boots.
He also has a toolbelt with various screwdrivers and a wrench.

"Boss, what has happened here? We heard news about meteors on crash course with earth. Where did they hit?"

((i will attempt to find the crashsite of the meteors and travel there. Posting before work. ))
((Edit: closing paranthese))

((fun facts about gold:

1) it is a soft metal -> it doesn't hold an edge well at all, and is likely to bend under stress quite easily. a block of pure gold can be carved using your fingernails if you really want to.

2) it is very heavy -> even heavier than iron or lead, it's one of the heaviest naturally occurring elements on earth.

3) it is very expensive -> currently about 1800 USD per ounce

4) it is an excellent conductor of electricity.

if anyone actually makes a gold sword or some such, I'm looking forward to selling the darn thing after breaking it in two using a random pipe or whatever mid-combat.

@GM: can i assume nobody has gold equipment unless you specially mention it? it's not exactly a normal thing to carry around.))

-Snip-
A gold-edged/plated sword might work, or more likely a gold-plated club is still dangerous. Someone carrying around one made entirely out of gold is a bad idea though, with how terrible of a weapon it would make. Alloys of gold might be possible as well, although I'm not metallurgist.

they're possible, and so is the plating, but the gold still makes them softer and suck at carrying an edge. the club (or bullet) potential is honestly the one that legit worries me. even those are really expensive and unusual though. gold just plain isn't cheap.

odds on my primary threat will be the simple fact that i have no offensive abilities. if i'm not careful i could certainly be immobilized or captured.

Well, you can take heart in this, bullets, thus physical shell ammo for weaponry, doesn't seem to exist. Slings, arrows/bolts/ballistae bolts, and clubs would be the only thing to really worry you, I believe. Possibly spears too.
