A random wandering led me to this topic and I got interested in the game but...
I've no idea what's this about.

Then there's the contradictory summaries of Urist McStation, then there's the fact that there's Urist McStation and Baystation 12...

I mean, I read the tutorial on the wiki, but...

And I dunno how should I get into the server in case I wanted to. The OP makes it out as if it was a mod I needed to download.

It requires the BYOND client to play. Beyond that there's not really any installing that needs doing.

Just download BYOND and put in the server IP, the game will download whats needed (sorta like how SpaceEngineers handles mods, or how Furcadia works...).
Thats just because of the fact of thats how BYOND works...

Simply explained: Baystation 12 was originally Bay12's server until the community began to split. A few years later, Urist McStation has taken the title of Bay12's server. Consider Baystation 12 to be Urist McStation's RP-focused, stiffer older brother.

This explains a lot. I put the ban down because people were ahelping you attacking random people with the captain, and when I went to investigate you were offline so I assumed if was a grief&logoff. Other people were doing the same, so it didn't look good. I'll remove the ban when I get on.

I've been debating whether it would be necessary, but maybe the future map would consider putting radsuit closets around the station to deal with supermatter explosion?

Bonus point if there's not enough suits for everyone.

Screen shots of where to put the IP I'v found SS13 on the BYOND hud thingy. But I can't tell which server is baystation in the server list. I can even see Urist McStation. On the list.

Open BYOND. Click open.



Put the IP into the top bar. Click okay to join the server. If you'd like, save it as a bookmark.



EDIT: We're not Baystation. We're Urist McStation.

If the thing is in narrow mode, at the Top Right of the screen there is a button labeled 'open...' on the 3ed tab (spaceship looking thing).
Hit that, put the server IP in the first box (it should be selected). Then just hit OK.

Dang ninja. But yah, thats what you do when its in wide mode.

Generally we are inbetween /tg/ and Bay in terms of RP (Moderate) although it varies to the heavier RP side.

No. We are not even close to medium. I'd say light with a emphasis on not meta gaming. Thats probably the only place where we are "Medium" RP. I have not seen anyone even try to RP well in the last month except Hans, who tries to keep the tradition alive, and sometimes in event round where people are encouraged to RP well.

Almost noone tries to Rp, thats true. But technally we are still medium RP, since you can get banned for killing FNRGR.

I've always RPed. We're a medium. Maybe between light and medium.
