Give it slightly lower stats than an energy rifle and replace the heads rifles with it?
Make it stun only and give it to security?
Make it the basis for a whole range of wonderous weapons for security, heads, R&D and the average joe?

I agree, but as it is a bit smaller it should also have a bit less charge or something.

Or be a better thing but require research.

I'd suggest giving it stats equivalent to the e-gun and replacing the Captain/HoP/HoS e-guns with it. Maybe with slightly lower charge, 8 shots instead of 10? Or 6 shots and have it fit in your pocket?

This would be redundant: we've already got tasers for a weaker stun-only ranged weapon for sec, and R&D can get stun revolvers with very little trouble.


E: Thinking on it, I really, really wish that there were combat shotguns that didn't need to be pumped, and that shotgun shells could be stored in groups similar to pistol ammo. There's really no point to combat shotguns as it is: they're bulky, slow-firing, and take up almost all your storage for one full reload.

I will edit in what I was gonna say.

Right, now, you could always deal with the bullshit for shotgun shells with a box, but thats more bullshit.
We could make a autoshotgun that needs research or something and uses reloadable mags

We could also have a factory that makes things sorta like a robotics fab, with lists of things to make and just massproduce things.
And I think the longer stun time would be cool, or the smaller clips but fits in a pocket.
