Cy Caldwell, Librarian, just wanted a little bit of interesting news to report. He was taking pictures of the crew when a few people became ill due to a radiation pocket and the Captain declared he was cutting all pay until every crewman and woman was back to work. Seeing how unfair this was to all the crew, Cy began writing his paper, The Space Cadet, with the first article calling out the Captain. Cy went to the bar, and eventually heard the Roboticist's dislike of the Captain's policy. So he sent the Roboticist a message telling him to meet in the library. As they sat at the table, the HoS, Axl, walked in and asked if he could sit in on the meeting. Cy allowed it, and went from recruiting to discussing the prospect of a biography about the Roboticist. The meeting was disbanded when the Captain wished to speak to Cy. Oswald told Cy not to continue writing the articles the way he was or else he'd be silenced. So of course Cy went and wrote an article about the threat. Axl had voiced his worry about the Captain's intent toy Cy, and let him know that he would not allow the Captain to harm him. (This fucked all the things up, since even though I was supposed to kill the heads, now I had one showing redeeming qualities. Since I was going for hardcore RP, it suddenly got harder to do my job) With a second article revealing the Captain's threats, Oswald Black requested a meeting once more with Cy. Before they met, however, Cy gave his recorder to the Roboticist, asking him to get everything on tape. This didn't pan out, as both Oswald and Axl made sure he was not present. Oswald made the demand that Cy stop writing my column, and attempted to delete the already present writings, but could not. He emptied Cy's pockets and crap and, luckily, didn't immediately notice the flash that had fallen on the floor. However, Cy thought he did and therefore did not grab it, not wanting to provide the Captain the opportunity to think of him as a legitimate threat. When Cy was dismissed, he ran to the bar to eat and messaged the Roboticist asking him to cover for him and say that Cy had gotten the flash from Robotics. He agreed. Cy already planned to say he had requested it due to the threats from the Captain, and that he wished to arm himself just in case. However no more questions were asked about the flash. Shortly afterwards, the Captain announced he was removing the crew's freedom of speech. Cy went to medbay and asked for a pill that would end his life quickly, should the Captain be on the verge of capturing him. Oswald requested everyone turn suit sensors on to full, and called Cy out by name. Cy refused, citing the apparent threat to his well being by the captain himself. Oswald and Axl found Cy in medbay and arrested him. Cy was thrown in a cell where Black gave him two options: A surprise, or something unpleasant. Cy requested door number two, but was treated with a new job, Toilet Scrubber, instead. After a couple threats and some back and forth between Cy and Oswald, Cy was released. He immediately went to the bar, messaged the now-revolutionary barman requesting a hiding spot after his next piece in The Space Cadet, and published another article containing the wrongful imprisonment, threats of silencing, and whatever else he could use to spoil the Captain's reputation. The captain, not pleased with the latest piece, demanded a meeting. Cy refused until the Captain promised to return the freedom of speech to the people, with a lot of finger pointing and character smearing in the meantime. When Oswald agreed, Cy had the barman let him out into maintenance so as to not give himself away as a supporter of the cause. Axl let Cy into the bar after he asked for help out of Maintenance, and sat down to meet with the Captain and HoS. When they decided to get to business, Oswald stunned Cy and Axl cuffed him and made sure he was secure in the chair. People had gathered in the bar, and a couple were already voicing their dislike of the course of action Black and Axl (sounds like a badass beer name, by the way) had taken. Oswald Black and Cy had a verbal tiff after both had invited people into the bar for a show. With the crowd building, Oswald made the mistake of getting violent with Cy once more. This pushed some crew over the edge, and they began to speak out en masse. When one crewman(woman?) attempted to disarm Black, all hell broke loose. (I couldn't keep up with what happened. Pretty accurate for a spontaneous riot) Eventually Axl had assisted in the restraint of Oswald Black, and Cy sat down across from Black. He gave Black two options: to give up his command, or something unpleasant. When Black did not adequately respond, Cy stripped Black of his ID and requested that Black be tried by his peers. After eight or so minutes of preparation, the Courthouse was eventually full up. Cy was making sure people knew to be present for the trial. After the Prosecution, consisting of Cy, and the neutral party (nobody actually defended the Captain) spoke (quite eloquently, I think, though some may say Cy was showboating...), Oswald was allowed to speak for himself, but did naught but look extremely paranoid. After closing statements, the crew decided upon imprisonment.
Suddenly Brainrot. Cy tried helping Axl to medbay buy wound up being sickened himself. Once the doctors took care of him, Cy made sure they knew to take care of the others to the fullest extent.
